Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

I will be on this thread till the fd announcement comes out, we've gone every year the week before Thanksgiving for free dining and LOVE IT, we've done QS the last 10 trips so we are ready for TS this trip!!!

My TA keeps assuring me there will be Free Dining but not to expect the dates to be released this early. I think anyone giving up at this point is jumping the gun a little. I will worry if after May they still have said nothing. The ONLY thing I can think of that would stop FD is if they do Star Wars weekends leading up to the new movie and plan to be booked solid.
Regardless we are going, if no FD we will upgrade to AK with a room discount and pay OOP sharing CS meals with fewer TS!

New here and so glad I found you guys. Waiting for pin codes to roll in can get very frustrating :worried: I only received one pin code in all the years we have gone to Disney. This year, after booking BLT for August and not getting the Summer offer, I am determined to get FD or some other offer. I did all the things they tell you to do to increase your odds of getting a PIN--got on every email list, ordered DVDs, took surveys, cancelled and then rebooked reservations, etc. Nothing yet but fingers crossed.

WELCOME Plutopia!!!

:welcome::welcome::welcome::welcome::welcome::welcome::welcome:

last time we went, there were long lines everywhere... this was the week before thanksgiving.

Someone else, on one of my "watched threads" :smooth::smooth: commented that the week before Thanksgiving was fantastic becuase there was NO ONE in the parks. (Not saying anything bad about either of you...maybe the crowds just followed you because you're wonderful, LuvOfDisney???) :confused3:confused3:confused3

Maybe?!? My previous two trips were in February and September. Maybe I was just spoiled by lower crowds. I was there for 10 in November and ended the Monday of thanksgiving week. That Saturday, Sunday and Monday leading up the thanksgiving were quit busy in my opinion. They days prior weren't terrible, just busier than I'm had anticipated. Mine ride, Anna and Ella, never under 90 min wait. Other popular rides 60+ at mid day. Fast passes were a great help and lines were definitely bearable. Like I said, just a little busier than my 2 previous trips

How is it temp wise at the end of September compared to August? We usually go the middle/end of August and it's hot and humid. I keep reading that September has great weather, but have no idea what to expect.

We went sep 20 to 28 2014 and I found the weather fine. Highs in the 80s i believe. One morning was a little cool on the boat ride to MK. Every year can be different and probably depends on whether you are used to humidity. Just dress comfortably and expect to sweat. I wore shorts and tank tops every day and didn't mind the heat.

I've heard about Star Wars weekends, but I have no idea what they are. What are they??

Let's roll the dice....who thinks April? Could you all make a guess, we'll see who is closest! And who thinks no FD this year?

We're going September 12-19th with my sister in laws family. This is there first trip to Disney or anywhere for that matter. She has been working three jobs to pay for this trip and as much as I would love to tell her about the free dining promo, I can't. I would rather have her save the money for the entire trip then, hopefully fd will come out I could call and get it added to both our reservations without her realizing it. It would be nice to get there and surprise her with it, she will have plenty of extra spending money.
