Hello all and great to meet you - first trip was Feb 14 with fiance (now DH) and our "Brady Bunch" - had FD and hooked..so here I am.. :) ..waiting..with all of you good friends..

I think Disney has just gotten really good at staying busy all year. I think September is really the only slow month left.

Yep...I remember when October was slow. Those days are long gone. Lol

We are planning on going oct 20th. Our last trip was the second week of nov and crowds were not too bad but still pretty heavy some days. Is the third week of October similar to that? I was thinking it would be lighter. Never been in October and excited about seeing halloween decor. :-)

It will likely be heavier than Nov. The third week is our normal week, and while it is still manageable, the last two years have seen large increases. So much so that free dining was not offered that week last year. This year our Fall Break is being moved to Columbus week. Not thrilled about it, but it's still going to be better than a summer trip.

We're going August 27 - September 10. Hoping for FD of course. If it starts a few days after we check in, we'll just do a RO then a package. Hopefully, we hear something next week!

Smitch, love your family picture!

Thanks! :) We have tons of fun with our MNSSHP themes every year. Lol

I don't really understand? We always go during free dining and don't find the parks to be overly busy.

We went the last few days of Sept/first few days of Oct in 2013. There was FD and the crowds were so low...it was awesome! We would also hit up the parks without the extra magic hours too, so I'm sure that helped as well. No long lines for the rides...our longest line was for lunch at Be Our Guest. LOL I'm hoping for the same low crowds at the parks for our mid sept trip this year. :)

We have gone the last two weeks of October for the past 3 years and have noticed the same. The crowds just keep growing and growing. In much of England they are on Holiday I believe between the 23rd of October and the 2nd of November. I mention this because almost everyone we talk to on the buses, in lines, and in the pools are from England. Our schools here in Colorado have always had fall break the last week of October (well, for at least the last 12 years) but many other schools in the region now have the same. We've never done MNSSHP so we can't comment as to how the crowds have grown year to year there. I would agree that the weather is generally very nice but the lines for the popular attractions just plain stink  If we could go at another time during the year when the crowds are lighter, for instance January, we would. But for now, while our kids are still in school, we will continue to go at the end of October during their break and we'll just have to remember to pack our patience hat! :)
I live in CO too and my kids school doesn't have a fall break (charter school not associated with a school district). I wish they did tho. Seems like most of my friends schools do have the fall break. We are taking our kids out of school in Sept to go to Disney.

I just got a PIN emailed to me.

For summer :headache: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I have received this same email about 4 times now. I wonder if this means 'you're lucky to have gotten a PIN at all...no chance you're getting a fall PIN' or...'you are the lucky PIN getting girl'! LOL

What dates?

I feel the same way lol!

Well, we went in early September last year and the crowds were definitely low. Longest line was for 7DMT, we waited about 40 minutes. The only downfall I felt was the humidity! Its good to know they were low when you went too because thats when were planning on going next year! In 2013 we went the second week in October, and even then I dont think the crowds were that bad, with the exception of the F&W festival.

This is what I got. I haven't been watching what the current offers are, but I am guessing this PIN is just what is being offered to the public already.

Enjoying the snow today - UGH! Just when we think spring has sprung, mother nature pulls a fast one! I texted my DH this morning and told him that I'll be in Florida by the time he gets home  I just hope it doesn't snow on Mother's Day like it did last year. That stunk!

I should have clarified that "here in Colorado" meant our school district. I know quite a few districts get the longer summer break instead. I think our kids really like the break mid-term. It gives them a chance to relax and regroup before another quarter but they sure hate coming back from Disney and going straight back to school!

I received a PIN a few weeks ago in the mail for summer. My first ever! Of course, I get one the year we are moving and not going to Disney.
