Free dining dates 2009?

Hi,

If I remember right the last day to check-in for free dining, this year, was Sept 20. Correct?

Anyone know when free dining will be offered next year? Will Sept 19 be the last check-in day (assuming it's offered)?

Of course we don't know and all will speculate but bounce back bookings for next year are 8/23 -10/8 with dates 10/2-10/8 being regular rate rooms with free dining. This can be booked on property through 10/24. The free dining dates usually run about the same.

That is what I was hoping, that someone would know when the bounceback offers for 2009 have been for.

But you also have to remember that the bounceback dates are usually different than the free dining dates that come out for the general public - usually the booking window is smaller.

Are you asking when the promotion was released or for the days of the promotion?

I found an old email w/ some historical information:

In 2007, the free dining promotion was announced around the 3rd week of March for August 26 through Sept 22 for US residents. The free dining for UK residents was longer: Aug. 12 - Sept 29

In 2008, we were all on the edges of our seat because the promotion wasn't released until April 7th for Disney Visa cardholders and April 10th for the general public. The free dining dates were August 24- Sept 20th.

There are a few ways you can receive notice of the free dining.

1.) In theory, if you have a Disney Visa - you might receive an email announcing the Disney Disa promotion. I've had a Disney Visa for years and update all my email information but have never received an email. In reading this board, it seems like some do and some don't get emails.

2.) There is usually a Free Dining thread on this board that you can subscribe to. The resorts board also often has a free dining thread.

3.) You can subscribe to the www.mousesavers.com monthly newsletter and that will announce the Free dining.

4.) There is a Free Dining alert list you can join at www.buildabettermousetrip.com/freedining.html

There may be others but those are the ones I know about.
