Free Dining 8/26-9/22-Anyone Else Hear This?

We aren't going until December...but wanted to say I am sending pixie dust to all waiting and hoping!! I managed to get the 40% deal...I am hoping you all get free dining! I'll watch with you all...I know how great it feels to get the deal and I am looking forward to the "I GOT IT!" posts!

Speculation is that free dining will be offered 8/26-9/22 if booked 4/12-6/24. I hope this turns out to be true for those of you waiting and hoping!

Well my dates are 9-19 thru 9-27, so lets hope that dining will be done like last year, as long as you check in before the expiration date (9-22) you will have dining to your check-out date......

Like Rustysmom, we already have reservations starting the 26th, ours happens to be room only. If they do come out with this offer, can I call and just "convert" my reservation to a package and get the free dining?

If you have an existing room only reservation, that has to be cancelled to create a package reservation.

They can't just convert room only to package. So.. you may want to do that NOW before the place starts booking up worse than it already is.

You need to remember a bunch of us already got free dining starting August 5 going to Sept. 28 during the bounceback program, plus there was a 40% off code that a lot of people got.
They only need to pick the weeks that are not full, which I guess are not too many.

True...though the 40% was only good during certain wks too. Many people couldn't use it...and now still can't use the Free DDP if those dates hold true. Personally, I'm going to "try" not to think about it. I'm hopeful the ultimately announced dates will be the same as the bounceback program. Lots of pixie dust!!!!

HECK YEAH!! This fits perfectly for us. Sept 19-23rd. Now my question, please be patient for a newbie, how do I get credit for this? We start booking our ADR's on Monday. Will I have to rebook everything since it has specific booking dates? How is it possible to be in a panic and elated at the same time

I dont understand either, I have a room only ressie, but was going to wait and see about free dining,

I guess where i am confused is i already have a room reserved, (room only), i know i have to now make my reserved room a package, package's dont run out, so way do i need to hurry and change to a package before the so called date to call in for free dining begins....

We are going to be arriving on the 23rd too!!!!! I think that we (the 3 of us) can get there on the 22nd but my son and DDIL both have to work the day before so now what????
I also have the package plan and last year, when free dining was annouced, I called that morning in April and got it with no problem.
Just have to hope for an extension on the free dining dates!!!!

In the past the last day of the free dining promo coincided with 2 things- 1) the last day of value season and 2) the Saturday 10 days before Columbus Day. That day falls on the 29th of September this year and I hope that is the last day of the promo because that is when we are going.

I called a couple of days ago to check on a package for the first of Sept. - as usual I was trying to find a discount (as usual no discount for me )
Anyways the CM told me more than once , 3X to be exact, to call back the middle of April - Could it be since the deal becomes avail. 04/16???

I was told the same thing about two weeks ago. She went as far as to say I could book my trip that day and WHEN the deal comes out for Sept travelers in mid April they would credit the balance I owed. (I would need to call) She DID NOT say it would be free dining but it COULD be that or 40% off room rate.
For two people at AKL it works out to be the same $ either way. So I'm in

I'm hoping that the dates get extended. The whole purpose of my trip was to celebrate my birthday at Disney (well that's how I convinced my husband to go ). Oh well, I guess we will just have to pay for it OOP. I was really hoping to get some type of discount but so far it doesn't seem to be looking good. Hoping for lots and lots of .

We booked the end of the month for the same reason!!! My DH's b'day is the 30th of sept, mine is Oct. 1! Hope we can travel this week. If not, it'll be the beginning of the month for us.

Those dates are not good for our August trip, and we can't change our dates. Dh is a teacher and goes back to work well before the dining plan might start. It will be nice to hear official confirmation of these dates. I'm going to hold out hope until I hear that confirmation.

I'm wondering if there will be an early August package discount of some type, or if the AAA room rate will be as good as it gets for us??

I hope it is earlier in the month of August. Our school starts Aug 27 so we can't switch the dates. We need earlier in the month of August. Man...didn't get a postcard for 40% off and possibly missing out on Free Dining....just can't win!
