Free Dining 2014 Discussion

Following this thread! I have a lion king suite at AOA reserved for September 8 through the 14th. Would it be safe to say that my room will not be excluded? If I moved to ASMU would free dining still be available for those resorts as long as I was booking a suite

I think you're safe as long as availability holds up.

Just thought I would post some due diligence and let everyone know we have conflicting information.

There are other reports surfacing of May 1st for Visa holders.

So at this point we have two sets of dates, which I don't like one little bit. Trying to get to the bottom of it all.

I booked 2 rooms back in Feb. The date we are leaving is Sept. 28, it's my understanding that this date may be included with the fall offer, which would be a bummer :( Should I still keep my rese and just wait until Jul/Aug? If by chance the date listed is released in this round, and FD is not available for my resort, again should I still keep my rese, as something may open up for FD?

Black, any advice? Appreciate all your help here on the board, maybe after tomorrow you can take some rest time and a break. Thanks!

Any chance May 1 could be something for fall?

My mind is racing! Picking a back up resort (Coronado Springs we've decided), doing the "Disney math"… If I'm correct, if we ditch our 3 nights at AoA and make it 7 at POR, assuming we get Free Dining, we'd save about $240. If we keep our 3 nights at AoA and 4 nights at POR, we'd save $480 (since POR is more expensive). We think it will be worth it for 3 days worth of food and $240, but I'm sure my mind will change by tomorrow morning. :lmao:

Thanks for keeping us updated! That's closer to what I assumed it would be.

Maybe May 1 is referring to the start of sale for tickets for the Halloween party? Isn't that about when they went on sale last year?

The anticipation is killing me! Anyone else feel like tomorrow might be a strange time to start with Easter weekend coming up? Would seem strange to me to start mandatory overtime with the holiday coming up. I would love to see Monday as I'm working from home and would have the time to make the phone call!

UGHHH!

Now THAT would make me one happy girl! I suppose if FD for late summer is rolled out this coming Monday, I'll be doing a happy dance for all those that get their FD & then hoping for pixie dust magic on May 1st for fall dates! :)

Now the Disney Big Whigs are just playing with you with the info they are allowing you to get, since now that your so famous in the Disney fan world. They are setting at home right now with an iPad laughing their butts off at watching all of us squeal like pigs:)

I do find this all rather addicting, nerve wracking--many highs and lows. It is our own reality show!! THE SUSPENSE!!!!

The suspense is killing me. Now I'm back and forth on changing and adding ADRs!

Sometimes I think just that.

It's no secret they follow these boards.

So to sum it up. We have two dates at this point....April 21 and May 1.

What we DO know is that free dining is happening. What we don't know is the specific date it's happening on. We have two citings of overtime from various groups at this point. One set of info is right and one set is wrong....but what would the other group be doing with their overtime in that case?

Thank you Black for keeping us updated as new info surfaces. :thanks:

Anything else surfacing on the September dates? :scratchin

Hoping and praying September 24th is still on the list (but I did find out I have a 1 day earlier flexibility if I have to):goodvibes

I hope the original set I heard is true....and that was out til October 1. The only part that gave me pause was starting Sept 1.

Still, we have at least three sources for the 21st. It's not like I pulled it out of a hat.
