Free Dining 2014 Discussion ~ Part 2

Pardon my stupidity, but I am kinda sick right now and tired, so I didn't look through all of the posts...but is it opening to non-Visa cardholders on May 7th??? I read on *****************.com that that's the rumor...want to stay at WL 11/17-11/22 for my birthday. I actually prefer NOT to go to the sit-downs, but I'd also like to save $$$$...not looking forward to being on hold for a million hours, though, but I do not have a Disney Visa.

I just booked a RO discount at POP for 9/1-9/10. The CM said it was a 15% discount, but she gave me my total which was $936...that's a 20% discount, so I'm not sure what's up with that...although I'm happy because it's more than she said.

I wonder if I got an extra 5% off since it's more than 6 nights...maybe the fall RO discounts are similar to the summer RO discounts that are currently being offered??

I didn't get a chance to ask about all the resorts that are offering the RO discounts, but I did ask about POR since someone wanted to specifically know about that. The CM said it was 20% off for RO.

Yes, the offer for the general public is set to start on May 7 and it will be offered online, so you don't have to worry about calling.

so about 2hr for me. but all changed i did have to laugh a little the cm was so nice and said this is more expensive than the memory maker package i had booked. i said i know 144.03 more but i can't eat for that for 10days!! lol so upgrade done yeah!!

Fingers crossed that I can book online Wednesday without problem...I work 8:45-7:15 Wednesday so no time for a 2+ hour phone call

Worst case scenario I make DH put up with the music at HIS work (he can make the call there surprisingly enough)

thru you all. Don't think I will make it down this year (first time since 2006 ) but I have been here cheering for all of you!!! NEXT year, I hope to take the whole family. Looking at the last week in Sept, 2 rooms at CSR. DDIL & 2 DGSs will be celebrating their first trip. DS, 2 DGSs and I (60 ) will be celebrating birthdays and DH and I will be celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. Sounds like a good excuse to go right??!?

WE ARE BOOKED! AOA Nemo Suites check in 10/26. BOG dinner was already filled for 10/29. But I'll keep trying, I know they'll open more tables later. Can't WAIT to surprise the kids tonight!

Honestly, I don't think it matters. The CM was going to use the CC I had on file (which is not Disney Visa). Just to be safe I gave him my DV card.

So do the total prices everyone is getting for Free Dining in the September-November time frame the same price that you see when you go through the steps online to book yourself? I just want to make sure I know whether to expect the price I see or not.

Start to finish, my call logged 3 hours 10 minutes. I was able to secure ASMu for Sept 4-7 and ASSp for Nov 9-12, both with free dining!
