True...I love to sit on my porch and watch thunderstorms but I don't ever want to come face to face with a tornado.

I am speechless. I have been unplugged all day except for Dis and email and thank heaven for you guys! I had no idea what happened in OK! Just went to CNN and found out and my heart breaks for those families.

I know...I didnt know anything about it until Joe posted something. Than I went to my local news app and read the story...heart breaking.

You can be booked already and still get PINs. Every year we receive a PIN and we have always been booked already.

I have never received a pin! Should I call and check every address we have had??

I know. I'm certainly considering it. My only hang up is getting my tickets early. And I know that every post on here says that it's no problem to pick tix up early, but we have firm plans at MK on 9/1 and we have to go that day. On the 1% chance that I can't get my tix early, the. I'll have to buy a 1 day park admission for 2 adults and 2 kids which would be awful. I've estimated it out and, with my room discount that I would lose with the FD, we would save about $300. I'm not sure it's worth the risk.....???

There's no risk. Cheshire Figment (who wrote the ticket sticky on the Theme Park Attractions and Strategies board) is a CM who works in ticketing and he's says that you can most definitely do it.

My boyfriend and I are planning on going September 20-25. We are debating between GF and WL. We are so excited! We just returned from our first trip together (his first time to WDW, my fourth) two weeks ago and we are annual passholders. So I know there are no additional discounts for us. Question: does the hard ticket for MNSSHP count as the two tickets needed to get the dining plan upgrade?

No, MNSSHP tickets do not count towards the 2 day minimum base tickets you must purchase as part of a free dining package with Disney.

Hello everyone, On that Monday that Free Dining with Visa began, I called at 6:20 a.m. central time, I have 2 reservations, one for my daughter and one for my husband and myself. I gave up the room discount, and got the free dining. Well............... today I called to change hotels, yes, I decided to move from All Star Sports to All Star Movies, because of the food court remodel... and I am soooooooo glad that I did, as only my daughter's reservation had been given the free dining, the reservation for me and my husband, the CM removed the room discount, but didn't add the free dining! The price had changed, so I didn't know that it wasn't correct. This is the one that I never got the new itemized invoice for..... wow! I was able to still add it, the gal today was wonderful, although I thought the CM I had before was good too. What did I learn? always double check everything!!!!!

Quick tornado info: I live in SW MO about 2 hrs from the OK state line. Joplin MO is about 20 min from OK, and got hit in 2011 with 160 lost lives. I pray every time a tornado risk arises that we'll be spared. I feel so disheartened to hear those innocent children were subjected to such awful circumstances! Thank you all for your kind words.

I assume you checked both the room only and the FD discounts to compare? Sometimes with only 2 people and staying in a deluxe, especially GF, you may save more with the room only. Especially since you don't really need the two day tickets.

You probably already know, but let me clarify, to apply a free dining discount to your stay your at be booked at a Disney owned resort and booked under a Magic Your Way package that included room, tickets and dining. There is a 3 night minimum and a 2 day base ticket requirement and you have to being paying full price, with no other discounts.

Thanks for the info, and yeah I am aware that we have to be staying on property for a minimum of 3 nights with a 2 day bass ticket. I think we will forgo the free dining and try for discounts on our rooms and then get TIW instead.

Thanks! I think since we cannot use any other discounts on the room, tickets, etc. for the FD that we will instead use the discount on the resort lodging. Also, we are looking into TIW as well. We love dining at Disney and anything would help! Thanks again
