Free Dining 2013 Part 2 ~ The Sequel

Before my 1st grandchild was even born, I told my kids that I wanted to be there the first time my grandkids goes to WDW; didn't matter who all else went on the trip, I just wanted to be there, too. Being there the 1st time your grandkids see WDW is an awesome experience!

I have already informed both my children that they are not allowed to marry anyone who says they don't like Disney. My kids are 9 and 12. I don't think I need to worry about that for awhile, but it never hurts to be prepared (just started singing Be Prepared in my head :rotfl2:)

I'm sorry for your loss. I have not lost a parent, but I imagine it is a very difficult time.

I tried to bat my eyelashes and indeed he laughed, but I heard some doubt in his voice. I'll get him to crack yet. Next up mom. I have to work on her too. They did come with us several years ago on my "yeah cancer's gone trip". They did have a lot of fun with all of us on that one, so maybe I can convince them yet.

Again, soooo happy for your recovery:woohoo: Maybe you could convince parents to come to celebrate ___years of a healthy recovery at WDW? And take no shame in unleashing the kids on them; how can they say "no" to their cute faces?;) It's Disney we are talking about!:yay:

It worked with me right up until the day I lost my dad and i was 30...so give it a try! Lol

I am sorry for your loss as well.:sad1: I lost my dad when I was 30 as well when my 2nd child was 2 weeks old.... That was fun! not!

love it!:dance3:

I agree!!!:yay::yay::yay:

Indeed - and it doesn't do any good to tell them to stop growing up so fast, either. I mean, you spend so much time, money, emotion, etc raising your kids. Then they grow up & think they're entitled to a life of their own! What is up with that?? :rotfl2:[/QUOTE]

I so agree!
I'm feeling so lucky that my adult daughter (age 24) is going on this Disney trip with us, it just wouldn't be the same without her. She has become very very independent in almost everything else, but when I asked her about Disney World she got soooo excited! :yay:

You should be able to do some pricing on Disney website. Just put in how many adults & children, how many days for park tickets (+ whatever ticket options you want). Assuming the pricing does not include any ticket or room discount, that would be the price if you got free dining plan.
I've done some price comparisons before for other trips. I'd start by pricing out the trip using 1 set of options & put the info into a spreadsheet. Then I'd do the pricing w/ different options, enter that info into spreadsheet & so on. I could play with the numbers by adding/deleting the various options, discounts, etc. I also had my daughter's entire wedding planned out in a spreadsheet and a friend's baby shower, too. (I'm an accountant, what can I say? LOL)

I do this too!!! I actually have a file for each year titled vacations with spreadsheets for every vacation we take (or dream of taking!). I think it is the curse of being an accountant - I have to do spreadsheets for everything ;)

Sylkie, I read your post a couple pages back about your planning spreadsheet & thought, "wow, that's exactly how I did it!!" and then got to the bottom & see you're an accountant too! LOL figures!

I am also an accountant & I had to go back to see if she posted the actual spreadsheet after I saw your post :rotfl2:

I know, I'd love to do a parents only trip but I'd feel guilty the entire time I was there because my kids love Disney. Olus I'd probably go broke because I'd buy them guilt gifts lol

That's so funny I bought them sooooo many souviniers on our Alone trip lol

We went last year and hr told me when we got back that we'll try and go back in 2014. I was ok with that. But he suggested one day to "look" at pkgs. That was last October when we booked our trip for this October. So our trip got pushed up a year....I was super excited. But after this trip, I have no idea when we'll go back. So I'm making the most out of our trip. FD, value resort, the kids bday money and cheap airfare has helped make this trip much more affordable than anticipated.

Mine said the same thing when we got back from ours in Dec. Then HE mentioned we should go back bc it makes me happy :) his fault. Not mine lol

We don't plan on having kids so we take our parents and nieces and nephews every so often. Our honeymoon we had everyone there (we didn't pay) they all wanted to go. I was a little upset. Not that they went but bc we could have just gotten married in Disney!! I love watching the kids faces when we go. We still have a few nephews to take that finally hit the "proper" age (for us lol) they asked when we were. I've been secretly planning with my sister for 2015. So far away and can't wait haha

Wait. You mean you actually ask permission first?

Hello You seem to have a lot of knowldege re: free disney dinning. Have you heard rumor of it coming in December? Other than the pin # people are talking about that I did not receive.

HI & :welcome: :wave2:
Usually don't hear anything "official" for October - December free dining offers for Disney Visa card holders & general public until July or August. Keep hanging out in here - you'll hear about those offers sooner than you would just waiting for a public announcement. That's how I heard about the free dining offer for September so we were able to have the FD discount applied to our reservation as soon as the phone lines opened on the 1st day of the offer. :yay:

It was horrible, especially since he was my best friend and I was the definition of daddy's little girl.

Ooh...work on that doubt and get mom to agree and you can gang up on him...he'll cave lol
Yeah you cant play the cancer card again...but I'm soooooo glad your cancer free!! That's reason to celebrate right there.

My daughter was 9 months old when I lost him so I feel your pain. My son is named after him. I tell him that he has big shoes to fill.

That would have been so much fun to get married in Disney. They have beautiful photo pkgs that I'm sure would cost you your first born lol

Not only did I call and get a pin for free dining for December 3rd to 10th but I just got one in the mail!!! I have never received one by mail!!!

When it rains, it pours! So happy for you!!! :cool1:;):cool1:;):cool1:

OOPS!!!! Sorry, Kat, I have no idea how that multi-quoted. Sorry about your loss; I guess I can join the club, my dad passed when I was 30 too.

Question:

My aunt got a pin code in the mail yesterday. Disney has 3 addresses on my name, and her address is one of them. My aunt isn't going to use it, but I want it desperately! I think I've read that they can change the name on these????? Can I do this and use the pin code?

Please help!!!

Would anyone who has this pin be willing to check our dates and see if any mods are available at this time? Saw a post in another thread that says mo values are available for the week before or the week after Thanksgiving. If nothing is available I might as well give up. Our dates are november 14th through 24th. I would be eternally grateful if someone would check.

It's worth a shot since you have that same address too. Go for it!
And let us know what happened. Love the Johnny Depp!pirate:
