But honestly, the release date isn't the important thing, it's the dates offered. I've always said that leaks only settle nerves, nothing more. No leak in history saves people money (though some say they did), it's the promo that Disney offers that saves them money. Even without a leak, they would still release the promo at the same time and everyone would save money, all the leak does is frantically tie up phone lines on the first few hours that morning as everyone somehow thinks it will sell out. In fact, there are still plenty of rooms available for the september free dining. Sure, a room type, or possibly a resort may sell out, but most do not. I believe the only ones sold out so far are Art of Animation and French Quarter, and only because one is so new and the other is so small.

Let's focus on offering dates, which look pretty solid...and that should keep everyone on target to call and book as soon as it's available.

Agreed, but the longer the wait the more the airfare can rise, and the second week of August is the 45 day mark for my current reservation. It's just cutting things really close for my particular situation. So, I hope the CM was wrong!

I'm also one of the impatiently waiting folks, but I really appreciate you saying the offering dates look solid. I'm nervous as I had to book with or without, and used the PIN and likely GP offer dates to try and hit in what will be offered. I have high hopes my 10/19 will be in a GP for free cs dining. Hated having to go ahead, but it was necessary and we are going either way. But hated not getting the PIN so the anxiety would have been over Thanks!

By offering dates, you mean the dates which will be available with a discount? You think those are solid? Not much of a chance of the week prior to Thanksgiving suddenly booking up and not being offered? Someone posted awhile back that the week before Thanksgiving and the week before Christmas would likely not go public. That scared me a bit.

Not much of a chance of the week prior to Thanksgiving suddenly booking up and not being offered? Someone posted awhile back that the week before Thanksgiving and the week before Christmas would likely not go public. That scared me a bit.

It scares me a bit too! I purposely choose 11/21 as our check in date so that I could get free dining for the duration of our trip--11/21-12/2. I was looking at historical blackout times around Thanksgiving. I figured it was probably safe to book for the Thursday before that week, but I have been second guessing ever since. The pin offer ends on Saturday, 11/23, but don't you all think they will change the GP offer to an earlier date?

Seems to me what black is saying without saying it is anything is possible. Don't count on anything until it is announced. However, it is likely not definite that the general public offer IF OFFERED will be close to the pin code dates minus August. So pretty much nothing is known.

The feeling is pretty confident that it will match the pin dates. What I was trying to say is that every single pin date range may not be offered. For instance if one set of dates sell really well, then it wouldn't make sense to offer. However my point was that pins are still going out with the same date ranges which indicates they are still needing to fill rooms for all of those dates. If we saw a pin go out with some dates missing, that would be a whole other story but that hasn't happened yet.

Also remember that Disney themselves have changed dates even after a promo was released. They have done it many times over the years. Sometimes adding dates and sometimes taking a few days off.

Can anyone do me a favor that HAS a pin code? I currently have a regular FD reservation at CBR because that was all that was available. We can change our dates to a week later if it meant a different moderate, because the thought of the small beds at CBR is killing us. A friend we are travelling with got a pin code but she cant call right now, stupid work lol.

Can anyone call and check availability at moderates for Sept 29-October 5th? We need 2 rooms. Id be forever grateful! We just dont want to get her fired for calling....unless it means we can get a different resort

I can tell you, the very first "leak" was on here on April 19 and the more detailed one was on April 24th. If that helps you out any?

Just wanted to share this, and of course WE already know this, but I recently bought a book on ways to save money at WDW (sorry, the title shall remain nameless as to not break any "rules"). And right there, in print, it said to "just ask" for Free Dining when you call, because it is a Disney practice to apply this at random.
