Me too! I am trying to keep the hope alive for our trip in October. Free dining would really help sell Disney to my parents.

we have a parent grading system we like to use for parents.

a day one parent - the kids have ears, candy at 10 am and everyone is happy

day 2 parent - parents are getting a little annoyed

day 4 parent - parents are screaming at the kids, saying no to candy, and the aggravated look is now permanent.

day 5 parent - kids are now being pulled by ears, arms, and being told "that's it! never again!" LOL

my daughter and I will go thru the park and say yep " look there is a day 5!! , so funny ....

PS... this doesn't apply to us grandparents, we have raised our kids and the grandkids get what they want when they want and we love it!!!

Lmao! That is perfect! Last Disney vacation we were day 4 on day 2! I am hoping with the longer stay, no park hopper and days off we will stick to the normal schedule! Lol

My kids eat veggies every day. When on vacation we are on vacation. They would have loved me last year we were doing the F&W and my kids shared a funnel cake for supper. That would never happen at home and they loved it. On a side note kcwiak I think we are going the same time. We are sept 24- oct 2 at POFQ.

Awesome! I have no idea how to set up a meet but this must be done! Experts, what do we do?

think about this next time you stop and sit on a bench and watch people walk by. im telling you you can tell how many days people have been at the park by how miserable they are and how much and how loud they are yelling at their kids!! its hysterical to watch. Usually the day 10+ parents are spewing a lot of curse words together in one sentence!!! LOL

I made the mistake once of wearing flip flops to Epcot. We weren't going to be there long...yeah right HA! My feet hurt SOOOO bad that night when I got off the bus that I jumped on my hubby's back to get to the room. We were at CBR and the walk to the room took forever! Never ever ever ever ever again will I ever ever ever ever wear flip flops. When I see ppl in them all I think is "aww you poor thing, you have no clue yet"

Usually sneakers and crocs for me. Switching helps!

I may be in the wrong thread but as I'm readings have a ton of questions.. I'm bran new to this and I'm going wdw sept 5th thru sept 11. I got the free dining but I really wanna stay n a moderate hotel instead of pop century. But of course money is tight and this is a last minute trip. Do they every give discounts on the hotels that you can use with the free dining????.

Hey, everyone! After a long day of chaperoning DS's class trip to a local museum/planetarium, AND making hundreds of copies for DD's teacher, I have some awesome news to share!

I got home from school today and was exhausted, so I jumped on the Dis for a bit while I put my feet up. I saw all of the reports of more PINs going out, and checked my email. Sadly, there was nothing. I decided to call, and I had the FD PIN!!! I couldn't believe it! In fact, even after the call, I was still in disbelief, but I now have my confirmation email showing that it is for real!

I hope everyone needing this PIN gets it. Don't give up!

So here's what I was told. A lovely cm told me to call back in and get on the line for information so pretty much call 407-939-7777 say information then options, more options, then finally its something else. And when someone gets on the line tell them that you're a pin holder and your wondering why you haven't received your pin... The cm that told me this said they will give me one and she said that it has worked in the past for people she knows. I'm on hold right now. Here is the info!

So happy for all that got the FD pin....Positive thoughts for the rest of us. We will get free dining too ( that is my mantra )

They have a pair of Teva sandals I would love to get (Toachi in a very pretty blue called stargazer), but alas, they only have size 5 & 5/5 available. I did find some at Champaign surplus.com (also at a discount). They cost a little more there than STP, but they are also the Toachi 2 (new & improved) so not too bad - and there's free shipping on orders over $50. Teva Open-Toachi Sport Sandals (For Women)
I don't usually pay $60 for a pair of shoes, but if they keep my feet from hurting like the last ones I bought did, they'll be worth every penny!

Are Tevas comfortable? The bottoms of say some of the flip flops do not look too dif from sandals. Am I missing something?
