I don't believe I have ever received a pin snail mail. I have two email accounts....and I get them sent to both. I still think I get them because every year I send for the vacation dvd. That is just a theory.....I truly do not know.

I'm pretty sure that Disney doesn't send mail to Alberta. DW and I each have 2 email accounts and the in-laws have 2 email accounts (total of 6 email accounts) and three mailing addresses. None of us have ever gotten anything. Maybe we should just take a year off and see what happens.

I called earlier today for our dates of June 7 - 14 & got FREE quick service dining with our rooms at AS Sports. Sports is not the resort that I wanted to I will have to keep trying to change it but the CM that I spoke with said all other value resorts were booked with the FREE dining code. I called DH at work & told him we are headed to Disney. Just cross my fingers that we can get moved over to POP. Now I will have to start some early morning calling. Now to cross my fingers for decent flight prices. Good Luck everybody.

Do you have to purchase more than one day's worth of tickets to get the free dining for your stay? We will be staying 4 nights but only want one day of tickets. Do they still give you free dining or is it based on the days in the parks?

I just registered my BF for an account and requested a planning dvd, maybe he will get a pin!

I would like to know if it works. This year it is a girls trip....2 sets of best friends.....me and my BF and dd and her BF (who is my BF's daughter).....anyways, I registered her last night to see if she would receive one. I have so far received several different pins. They just do not correlate with the dates I want. I may have to change my week in Oct.

I just ask if their is a pin associated with my name or other family members. I think it depends on the CM's.....just my opinion.

I wouldn't worry about the pin because I truly believe FD will be offered to the public.

Just got the Free Dining pin via email, but I can't use it, its for the wrong dates.

Just choose the deal that's right for you
for arrivals most nights 4/23–8/13/11.

We are going a few days after Thanksgiving. -sigh-

I wouldn't worry about the pin because I truly believe FD will be offered to the public.

Maybe for May? I just spent 30 min speaking to an awesome woman who looked into two names, two address, two zips, three phone numbers, four e-mail addresses and we had nothing! I even gave her a little sob story that 'others were getting FD for my dates'...she felt bad but there was nothing. It would really save me some money.

Ok, so I was one of the ones on the phone @ 7 this am, fingers crossed and all. I got a wonderfully nice cm who I told that I had called a couple of weeks ago and was told by a cm that I did have a code but it did not go into effect until today. (Which is completely true). She asked what dates I was looking at and I told her my first choice was October 15 for 7 nights( kids on fall break) but if not sometime in September. She looked and said, "yes you do have a code. free dining good from labor day to november 1st." So I was lucky and got free dining for the wk I wanted. Staying at Pop. But I will say that the rumors were true. the free dining I was offered was only quick service at values and mods and basic dining @ deluxe. I went ahead and pd the difference to bump up to the regular dining plan. so I'm happy I atleast got that but am holding out hope for the dining offers of the past.
the economy is still crappy! gas here if 3.27 a gal for regular unleaded. Hope everyone else gets some pixie dust!

You are the first person I have seen say they were able to get FD beyond Aug 13th....Labor Day to Nov 1 would be great for us.....Maybe there is still hope

Well I tried this morning and was told I have nothing. I'm tempted to call back.

Do, there are people on this board who have called 2-3 times before they get a cm that can find their pin.

I also am going to call back, I have four different emails, three phone numbers and four names in our household. So far no cm has been willing to look up by email adress or phone, only be street address.

This has got to be the stupidist system Disney has, the only pleasure I get in this nightmare (can you tell I have yet to get a pin lol) is that their call center is bonkers. I want them to be driven as crazy as they are driving me!

I have been checking my email all day like an expectant father!!!!!!! I was just perusing the Dis Boards to see if anyone had received anything today [being March 1]. As God is my witness, I just checked my email and voila' - I got the email for free dining. It's the one that's been around - through August 13th. Perfect for me because I wanted to go on a cruise [because of the wife] and then sneak a few days in. Now this will sweeten the pot for my wife. My son and I have been hoping to get this pin. We are booking a August 1-5 cruise and a August 5-13 WDW vacation. Yes, more than a 'few' days but hey, the food is free!

I could smell the lush vegetation at Caribbean Beach as I type this!!!!!!

Just out of curiosity, do you know if your Labor Day through Nov 1st PIN had any blackout dates, or was it good for the entire time?

So-after several calls-we got our FD PIN. It was assigned to my husband for the "household" (although we did not receive any emails about it) and we are traveling without him this trip-which they say is fine.

So we got in touch with our TA and asked him to cancel/reschedule our booking to use the discount. Sadly though, when he called to sort it, they said the offer was not valid for value resorts.

We were sure it was so rang them again. Apparently when they set up the PIN, the code was missing the ability to book FD for value resorts, but should have included it. The phones have been ringing off the hook today and the woman who spoke to my husband this evening knew (without a doubt) why he was calling and gave him the package code for our TA to make the ressie.

If you have problems booking your FD after receiving your PIN-make sure to get the new package code!
