>> FREE DINING 2011 WATCH - Read Post # 1 BEFORE Posting

If you are not changing your dates, you can call today and change your resort with no problem, they will modify your reservation, not cancel it, and your reservation number will stay the same. They won't cancel your reservaion or your ADRs - The ADRS wouldn't be cancelled, even if you changed your dates or cancelled your trip all together, you would have to go on-line and cancel the ADRs yourself or call Disney Dining and have them cancel them.

Okay, that's a relief to know and thanks.:) Now it's just to wait and see if they reissue the free dining offer for my dates:surfweb:....then it won't actually cost me anything extra to switch resorts.:thumbsup2

I guess I never knew that if you switch resorts, you would lose your FD even if you don't change your dates. Wow...I guess I would wait and see as well.

I feel your pain. This year my twins turned 10 and now I'm up to 5 adults on the meal plan! Where's my "loyal to Disney have spent over $20,000" PIN??????????????

Called again this morning and nothing. It was funny though, I got the same CM that I talked to yesterday. I didn't say anything but she did :goodvibes I have a very unique last name and she remembered it. I just couldn't believe with all the calls she has that she remembered me.

I think I have called 7 or 8 times since this frenzy started & still nothing. Soooo disappointed..geesh.:sad1: FD is such a deal "maker" for us. We have 3 "adult" kids. popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:: I love Disney but this randomness of PIN's drives me nuts.
I have never understood why for dining, a child is considered an adult at 10. Not all children eat enough to warrant it. Just my opinion.

Hee Hee maybe I should go under my very unique maiden name...Hollywood.....:rolleyes1 I just called too!!! I asked if I could add another room on my reservation with my free dining and she said the only way I could is if I did a 2 bdr villa??????

We booked 3 rooms w/ one person's 35% pin (3 diff families)...is that still the rule w/ the FD PIN (up to 3 rooms on one PIN as long as the pin-owner is traveling w/ the party)? Not that it matters right now, since we're going mid-November, but I'm hoping for another set of PINs in the future for our dates! :lovestruc

Agreed. I know it's just another way for Disney to make money. My 2 younger kids eat nothing....well just alot of ice cream maybe.:lmao: & paying $38 for them to eat at Chef Mickeys or $30 a Biergarten is just not reasonable to me. I would be very happy with the free CS plan if I could just get it.

I got the FD pin last night...just for giggles I decided to quote our trip. It would save our group a little over $1000 to switch dates & go in the summer.

Right now we are booked for 8 nights, arriving Oct 28. We are arriving on our 5th anniversary (planning dinner at Jiko, like we did on our honeymoon :cloud9:)& will be there for DD's 3rd Birthday. Been looking forward to MNSSHP & F&W.

My mom is travelling with us & she had to put in her vacation dates for this year back in December. The only way she could switch is is she found someone to swap with.

Still, with all that...it is VERY temping to save $1000. I'm trying to be patient & wait for something to come out on our dates... I just know I would be so upset if there is nothing for late Fall.

Someone, please, convince me that we are not making a mistake by waiting:upsidedow

2 bdr villa???? I wonder why that is... what's the original reservation?

I must spend way tooooo much time on facebook cause I was looking for the like button. I dont want to think about how much I have spend at WDW but I want one of those pins too!!!!

Are you just changing resort? Are your dates changing? If not, it will not cost you anything. Am I misunderstanding your situation? If you booked under a free dining code in December and want to now change resorts, you can do that without waiting for another offer. Your discount, your reservation number, your ADRs, everything stays the same.

I guess I never knew that if you switch resorts, you would lose your FD even if you don't change your dates. Wow...I guess I would wait and see as well.
You DO NOT lose your free dining discount if you switch resorts. The other poster is confused. If you are booked at say ASMo and want to switch to Pop, you can call and have them switch your resort without losing your discount. Of course, the resort you are wanting to switch too has to have availability, but you don't just lose your discount for changing resorts.

Again, you need to call back. That information is TOTALLY WRONG. You can add/book up to 3 rooms under your discount code.

I am SO mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called first thing this morning to check and see if I had a pin--no pin. I finally get the PIN email tonight. I call and spend one hour on the phone. I want 8/13-8/19. I already have this reservation, but want to change it to free dining. There is not ONE reservation to be had at ANY moderates or values for this week and for some reason, they can't change my reservation because all of the rooms set aside for free dining are already taken. I just know that if the CM this morning had found it, I would have been able to do it. I'm just annoyed! Why couldn't the CM this morning have found my PIN?

Are you flexible with your date at all? I got the email last night & quoted it online for 8/12-20 ...I got availability in both categories. did it again just now...and its still showing available :confused3

When switching resorts when already booked with a PIN or PROMO code:

a) the resort you wish to go to MUST not only have availability .. but .. availability on the same offer code that you are booked with currently.

b) Trying to switch resorts once the original 'book by' date for your offer has passed cannot be done by the folks on the front lines of the Reservation Center. They will show zero availability across all properties once the book by date has passed. Don't fret tho, you call and ask for Guest Services to change your reservation and if there's avail left on the closed promo they can usually do it.

Thanks! I will when my friends decide within the week...I knew it was going to be a bust right off the get go with her ( CM).....:confused3

Think we may have jinxed ourselves. We called disney a couple days ago before we booked and no pin. We booked yesterday and just for kicks I called disney to see if we had any pins. Well, the CM said both me and my wife had FD pins but only until August. To bad we are booked in the middle of September. I wish I hadn't called.:laughing:
