Well I got another FD pin today. The other 1 expired yesturday(2/28). And again it ends Aug. 13th. If I go in Aug. and checkin on the 13th will I be able to have FD the rest of the week I will be there? Also, for those of you that have gone around then what are the crowds like for Aug 13 - 20 week? Tia
 
But not everyone who read your reply is as well versed. It is easy to misunderstand your statement to be general rather then specific to this couple.

That is why I was specifically indicated "YOU" specifically to the poster I was talking to. To me it was clear that I was talking to the other poster by indicated that they, personally, would not get a better discount code for their trip.

Yes, if you check in by August 13 you can have the free dining discount applied for your entire stay. The free dining discount has a 3 night minimum booking and a 14 day maxium. The crowds are moderate - medium to medium-high crowds, probably 70 to 90 minute waits for the headliner attractions.

Okay so the breakdown is this:

It's a pin offer. You need the pin number to book it. I'm sure everyone knows that by now.

It's for arrivals most nights 4/23–8/13/11.
The deal is Free Dining, Quick Service for Values AND Mods.
Regular dining plan for Deluxe resorts. There doesn't seem to be any restriction on which resorts you choose.

This is the first year that QSDP extended to Mods I think.

anyhow...that's what our pin deal included in case anybody was interested.

I had ordered a planning DVD under my husband's email this year so that could be why he got the pin.

I did the math and the 40% off deluxe villas is a better deal for us, but the dates for the free dining are better for us as to when they fall. So now I don't know what to do!:confused3 I'm just so grateful we can afford to go on vacation this year that I could just cry. I didn't think it was going to happen.

Nothing for me in Oct. She did say she just got an email for April-Aug. so some might want to try back being as I was told I had nothing this morning. Still hoping for Oct. free dining.
 
Just out of curiosity, do you know if your Labor Day through Nov 1st PIN had any blackout dates, or was it good for the entire time?

The cm I talked to didn't say anything about blackout dates. She just said labor day to november 1st.
 
It would be real nice if those who rec'd the FD pin for dates they can't use, could send that pin to someone of their choice who can use it for the dates available.....:rolleyes:
 
So after calling this am and trying to change reservation and being talked out of it. I was told I had a pin that was blacked out for my dates of travel.

I called back anyway around 11am and added tickets to my resort only ressie, making it a package now. Had the CM check at that time again and was than told no pin associated with my email at all. :confused3

But CM insisted I watch mail, email, and website, and call back and add
my free dining when I get it. :cool1: "When I get it" does that mean it is coming for sure???

After hours of reading these message boards and trying to figure out anyway to get a pin I decided to check my son or daughter's Disney accounts, using their emails. :surfweb: When I was finally able to get the correct password for my son I signed into the website. And when I went up to Book Reservation it asked for the 15 digit pin, to continue. :confused3

This does not happen when I sign into Disney with my email. So I checked my son's email. No email. :scared1:

So I called and the wonderful CM, was able to find the pin associated to my household under my son's email address quickly, but it took about another 40 minutes to connect it to my reservation.
But she was wonderful and helpful and willing to do what ever it took to get it done :woohoo:

I guess if I hadn't tried to Book a reservation under his email, I might not have ever known the pin was attached to his email.

I am going to have to do this also. I know the price of the tickets, but in order to make it a 'package' do I have to pay anything else? The room only was booked with the promo online for 20% off.
 
Do, there are people on this board who have called 2-3 times before they get a cm that can find their pin.

I also am going to call back, I have four different emails, three phone numbers and four names in our household. So far no cm has been willing to look up by email adress or phone, only be street address.

This has got to be the stupidist system Disney has, the only pleasure I get in this nightmare (can you tell I have yet to get a pin lol) is that their call center is bonkers. I want them to be driven as crazy as they are driving me!

I really wanted a free dining PIN and we got one but the dates won't work for us and DH isn't convinced we should go back because we can't afford deluxe and we like to eat well (believe me, it shows on me too! :guilty:). I'm really hoping that they will make another offer like they did in December when I've had time to save more money. I know we can pay to upgrade but after free dining in the past, I guess we just got spoiled.
 
I am SO mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called first thing this morning to check and see if I had a pin--no pin. I finally get the PIN email tonight. I call and spend one hour on the phone. I want 8/13-8/19. I already have this reservation, but want to change it to free dining. There is not ONE reservation to be had at ANY moderates or values for this week and for some reason, they can't change my reservation because all of the rooms set aside for free dining are already taken. I just know that if the CM this morning had found it, I would have been able to do it. I'm just annoyed! Why couldn't the CM this morning have found my PIN?

Yikes! I would be upset as well. Maybe you should try back tomorrow......maybe, just maybe, something will open up.

I have to cancel the resort only and rebook with the 200 deposit to add the tickets.

When they added the dining tonight, it was added to the new reservation with no other deposit.

I would try back tomorrow. Right after my CM told me I had the pin, she was in the middle of doing the booking when she said "hmm, that's weird, the pin JUST came out and it's telling me all values are booked, that can't be right"...sure enough about 30 seconds later she said "OH! My fault, I was entering the wrong code, there's room. I knew it shouldn't be full already"..

Well....I did book free dining prior to it expiring on Dec 20th for my upcoming trip in late August however now I am seriously considering changing resorts. I won't switch unless free dining is reissued (it's just too good a deal for my family of four) but I did have a question.....

Right now I have all my ADRs made under my current reservation...what happens to my reservations if I switch resorts? I won't lose them, will I? I did have to use my confirmation number to make the bookings and I assume that the confirmation number will change if I change resorts...will there be any effect on my ADRs? Hopefully, I am just being a little nuts.

If you are not changing your dates, you can call today and change your resort with no problem, they will modify your reservation, not cancel it, and your reservation number will stay the same. They won't cancel your reservaion or your ADRs - The ADRS wouldn't be cancelled, even if you changed your dates or cancelled your trip all together, you would have to go on-line and cancel the ADRs yourself or call Disney Dining and have them cancel them.
 
I think I have called 7 or 8 times since this frenzy started & still nothing. Soooo disappointed..geesh.:sad1: FD is such a deal "maker" for us. We have 3 "adult" kids. popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:: I love Disney but this randomness of PIN's drives me nuts. :confused:
