I agree with you 100%-IF the bookings are not where they want them to be,FD,or other discounts will come;Hurricane Season,Value Season,Low tourist Activity in Orlando overall,The Flailing Economy,and just good ol' Fiscal Common Sense on Disney's part-"If you feed them,they will come!"

Agree here too. I think the free dining I got this morning is just the start of things. The economy is still struggling and definitely believe that more pins and also public discounts will be offered in the near future.

I am not even going to call to see if there is a pin attached to my name because it looks like it is only good through August 13 and we are not going until the end of September. Oh well here is hoping for a public offer in the near future.

Just wanted to post my experience. I called and nothing attached to my name or our household. The CM's exact words were nothing attached to our household. So I asked if I needed to check my husbands name and she said no it is by household not each individual name. Seems contradictory to what some of you are saying about checking each name. I dont know if I should call back and ask again or what. It would be nice if there was a WDW CM on here to confirm this info.

And a general comment.... re: for calling the Reservations Center..

It's unfortunate.. but as nice as those CM's on the phone are.. they will say *ANYTHING* to get you to book today.

The fact is -- that is all they care about.. I'm not kidding. Can they get you to say "yes" to booking today.

Not all of them, but a good sized chunk will spin whatever story they think you'll buy to get you do exactly that. Why?

Because it gets them closer to their assigned quotas for the shift/day/week/month.

That's the reality. "If I tell you that you can apply a discount later, will you book today?" --

The last place I heard some statement like that I was at Metro Ford in Hollywood trying to buy a Mustang.

If you think about that CM on the phone more like a used car salesman and less like someone who has your interests top of mind, you'll be far better off in the long run.

I questioned how they do their search, asked if it would be helpful for them to search other email accounts, etc and he said that they search by last name-so no, it does not matter.

Hmmm The CM I spoke with this morning told me she had checked my "household" and that it was by address.

Maybe it's worth another call for me since we have three different last names in the household?

I called this morning and the CM I got checked by my name I'm assuming and then I asked if he could tell me if there were any pin codes under my boyfriend's name since we are going together, and he told me my boyfriend would have to call and he can't give me that information. We live at the same address so if it was by household, I would have shown one too I would think.

I don't understand why he couldn't tell me if my boyfriend had a pin code or not. He's clearly on my reservation. It's not like I'm asking him to tell me my boyfriend's social security number or bank account balance for goodness sake!

To the person in an earlier post who asked if they could still get a pin code even if they are booked already, I got a pin code for 40% off any room even though I was already booked so yes it can happen.

If it wasn't for this post I wouldn't have even checked for a pin!! Got the Free Dining for May 2-7 at POFQ and upgraded to the DDP for like $150 more for the 5 nights. Thanks everyone, seriously!!

1-407-DISNEY. Try calling again and ask by individual names. My code was under hubbys name. I asked if there was a dicount code or pin associated with his name. and there it was.

So our trip with the original pin was about $2950, that's for hotel, tickets and dining... If I try to book now with just hotel and tickets, the price is $3350 so if I booked free dining it would be $3350... am I doing this right, LOL.

The first time I called, they only checked my name. The second time I called, the CM asked the name of others in my household and checked each name individually.

Yes... make sure you have them check all accounts. When I called they couldn't find my reservation. She told me that when you book online or create an online account it creates multiple accounts and if one piece of info is different they stay seperate and don't merge together.

She told me I had 6 accounts. She had to look at 3 of them before she found the PIN. If i didn't know I had a pin she would of said I didn't from the account she pulled up.

Because you are staying Deluxe it just about always works out better with a room discount then adding tickets and dining rather then getting the FD promo.

Now I'm stressing, my deal is better for us with the pin I used and not free dining right??? (see post up a few) We have to pay up by March 17th so if nothing goes public by then I won't be able to change.

That was how it worked for me...mine was $2086.28 and when I called and got my free dining the total was still $2086.28....
