I was looking at my last years stuff from when I booked our Free Dining Trip.

I booked it on April 12th. Wow, almost a year to the day! (if in fact the rumors are true and we can book on the 10th!)

I am a DV holder and I have not heard as of yet. I check every day and I have called Visa almost every day this past week to see if I can get someone who will give me a little bit of info. They were all "clueless".


I plan to book right away on Monday and I will definitely post what goes on.

I know you can only claim one discout at a time for FD. But does that include the AAA discount when you book through a AAA TA?

And I've read posts where some say FD can be added to exsisting ressies others that say a new res must be made. Any new info on this anyone?

The FD offer usually says something along the lines of, "exclusive of other offers," or "cannot be combines with other offers." Please correct me if I am wrong here, those of you who have read the small print.

I think the majority vote on the boards is that you use one discount or the other, regardless of where/whom you book through.

Just do the simple math to see which deal is better for you (it's dependent upon # in party, ages and where you are staying and the current discount code you're booked with). If it's better to get FD then switch, otherwise stick with the AAA discount you have.

Subscribing and waiting with anticipation for confirmation of the free dining dates.

I called Disney this morning to change my check in date to September 20th instead of September 21st. The CM I had was clueless when it came to free dining. I have my fingers crossed tightly that my new check in date will cover my grub for the entire stay.

Of course, we are still forging ahead with the trip whether or not free dining is offered. I haven't been on a vacation since 1998 so when we decided to do Disney this year, I was like

What airline went out of business? We are planning on booking either SW or JetBlue soon. SW's ressies for up till Oct 22 open up on April 17th.

Welcome Disneygirl@heart . I see you've made your 1st post on the waiting for free dining board. Waiting for disney FD is always a good time to get to know fellow DISers. Wait until we are all in the holding patterning waiting to book! I wish I could find last year's posts. Everyone was posting which song they were listening to and after we got our ressies, we all celebrated. Some of the holding times were crazy (over an hour). Some of us got lucky.

I booked this morning with my travel agent for Sept 13 thur Sept 20 at the WL and I have free dining.

ATA out of Midway in Chicago ceased all operations yesterday. No one was at the counters when people arrived for their flights and ATA employees found out the same way that passengers did, when they came to the airport to report for work. There were signs posted in the aiport telling them that ATA was out of business.

That really sucks.
