Free Dining 2008 Watch

Hi Ive been trying to read all the posts but im still unclear
Booked thr AAA for 9/8-9/18 not a Visa member hve to wait for the 10th. But Do I have to cancel with AAA or can they add the dining on? Cant get in touch with AAA today?

AAA reservation is only as good as your agent. If you have a good one they will look out for you and help. I have heard others complain....

Just called my AAA agent back asking her to try again and see if since we couldnt get Preferred POP for our dates of 9/20-9/27 if we could get one of the All Stars w/ FD but it had to be preferred room. She just called back....and something opened up at POP!!!! So we are set POP Preferred Room with FD w/upgrade to DxDDP on 9/20 - 9/27....I am so Happy I am so Happy I am so happy !!!!!!

I had to make a new reservations than cancel the one with AAA, you can not get the AAA discount and free dining.

It took an hour and half for mine. Did you check the WDW site and see if the changes had been applied to your reservation?

Someone please explain this to me it says $104.00 per day at saratoga springs....what does that price include? Does it include the park pass,dining,and room? Because as I scrolled down I seen ADD ON DINING but I thought that was part of the deal...someone explain please.

I am so excited....was on the phone for 45 minutes and got to work 30 minutes late today and unfortunately the Family Suites were not elegible for the free dining but got my second choice of 2 rooms at Pop Century!!!

It was a new reservation and yes it is there but no dining listed. I had to cancel othr ressie it was with AAA

I think you came out better. You really don't need the kitchenette that much if you are on free dining. And with 2 rooms at Pop you get real beds. No one needs to sleep on pull outs. You don't have to mess with folding them up each day, and pulling them out when you are exausted at night. You aren't going to be in the room much to need the living area. I prefer 2 rooms. My kids would never deal with the pull outs.

I guess if you don't get an email you might want to call How long is it taking others to get their emails? I know once it took about 24 hours to get the email confirmation, I'm not sure why some arrive right away and others take awhile.

I feel bad that so many are still on hold. I started continous redialing at 6:57(4:57 my time). Got through a ,minitute or two before 7:00. Stayed on hold for about 8 minitues, before called was answered. I turned 40 today, but won't have time to be depressed about it. I am too excited, I got free dining. I was going to cancel my res. if I didn't get it, because I would rather go in the winter months during a long weekend, to minimize the days my daughter will miss school. Free dining makes taking her out of school worth it for me.

I guess if you don't get an email you might want to call How long is it taking others to get their emails? I know once it took about 24 hours to get the email confirmation, I'm not sure why some arrive right away and others take awhile.

I received my email an hour after my ressie was booked. They already had my email in their system from my previous trips, so I'm not sure if that will make a difference?

Ok I just checked mine on the WDW site again and the dining isn't listed either but it was on the email confirmation so I bet everything is ok and it will show up on the email confirmation when you get it .

For this amount per day, it looks like it's for a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) for 5 nights at Saratoga with 6-day park passes (no options - i.e. no park-hopper, no water parks & more) as well as *free* dining. So if you're going with more than 3 adults or 3 kids, and want options, expect to pay more for that.

My trip totaled the same as when I quoted it on Walt Disney World's website, so you could always use that if you want to check and see what it will cost. Free dining doesn't change the price of an original MYW package, it just adds the free food. Hope this helps.

We have done it in previous years, and I KNOW that it is a super deal.........free food, low crowds..........wonderful!!!!!!! However, this year we are going with friends and they cannot go until October. So we are going just a month later........more crowds, pay for food............I am TRYING to remind myself, though, that at least we will be at WDW!

So I called Disney myself and lo and behold I got POFQ [which is just what I wanted]. Anyhoo, for those who AAA has told no just call Disney yourself. This is the last time I deal with them. I was defintely not floored with their customer service. But I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT MY TRIP!!!!! YAY!!!!!!

Have fun! I'm in Gastonia, NC. I went with friends last year and will NEVER do it again. They're good people but, as far as WDW goes, it was hard spending time with them because they are lazy. I made ADR's for everyone and they decided not to show up at the last minute. They complained about the walking every 3 minutes, about the food at Boma(It wasn't American enough) . Anyway, I hope you have a good time.

We booked this morning through disney, but i was just curious. Were there any perks or bonuses by booking through aaa? We booked our DL trip with them in 2005 and we got enhanced fastpasses, so i was wondering if there was something similar for WDW.
