We have a stay booked for December, under the free dining package. What I'm trying to understand is the following...

We are staying for 11 nights/12 days
Our tickets are 10 Day MYWPH

According to the invoice, our DDP is valid per person, "per night".

When I was on the phone making a payment today - I was told the DDP is really only valid for the same length as our park tickets. Say what?!

I am assuming I've got 11 days of meals, like I've done in the past and have ressies booked accordingly. I guess I want to know "who's right?" :confused3

Per night of your resort booking. Of course, if you don't have tickets for park entry, then you can't use the restaurants located *in* the parks, but can still sue the resort restaurants.

Thank you - glad to know I'm not the only how was convinced it was per night.

I'm not sure if the CRO agent was new or what, but in all my Disney stays - my tix are usually a couple of days shorter due to arrival and departure times. So, I was shocked when she started claiming my meals were tied to the tix.

Needless to say, I can now avoid breaking the kiddos hearts and telling them I was going to cancel a meal :thumbsup2

Yet another example of a reservations phone agent telling a guest something that just isn't true - unless it was badly phrased and misunderstood. You get dining according to the nights you stay, but unless you have tickets you can't access the restaurants in the parks - I'm assuming that's what they were trying to say. But then I wouldn't be surprised if the phone agents didn't know that there were restaurants outside the parks.

Per night of your resort booking.

True! If I'm using the DDP I'll either buy it with an AP ticketless pkg or if the discount is worth it, I'll may a room discount and buy the minimum one day park ticket that is required to use the room discount. I've done free dining multiple times and have always only bought the minimum park ticket required (used to be one day, but now a two day base ticket). My ticket has never matched the number of dining credits. I usually go for eight nights/nine days and may have a one day park ticket. I still get eight CS, eight TS, and eight snacks if on the basic DDP and 24 meal credits and 16 snacks if on the DxDDP.
