I know I should know the answer to this question having read these boards for many years, but next year will be our first August trip due to eldest DS starting senior school in the September and I was wondering if the 40% off @ SSR/OKW plus free dining offer is ever offered at this time.

We have visited in October for the past few years so have very little knowledge of August.

We are also a family of 6 so if Im unable to get this offer I think next August maybe our first Off-Site stay, which I think I would look forward to, just to experience something different:)

It is available this year and has been for at least the past 2 years in August as we have/are taking advantage of it but thats not to say it will be available next year, we are all waiting for them to release next years offers.

Thanks Wayne.

Do you know if the Free Dining has ran in to September or just up to the end of August ? We plan on arriving around the 10th August and staying upto around the 5th September?

These offers for free dining will stop, but who knows when, i did read somewhere that its Disney's intention to wean people of the discounts and free dining but it will depend heavily on what the economy is doing next year.

I have mixed views on free DDP, although this will be our 3rd August doing it we really miss the offsite dining, problem is knowing free dining in conjunction with 42% disc at OKW is a limited offer we want to take advantage of it while its there.
I think Disney are trying to increase the cost as much as poss without detering people, 1st year we did it (2009) it cost about £88/nt, last year around £100 and this year could be bought for £108(CO, I paid a little more and booked direct) next year I need to see the figures 1st, I think it will be border line, will take into account how much we enjoy again this year, who will be going with us etc but possibly back to ofsite again if there is a big jump in cost.

When were the Jan / Feb offers for this year released?

We are still undecided as to wether to book SSR or OKW again this year for 2 weeks in September? I know that the offers end a week on Thursday so may just book for the £100 deposit to secure.

If I knew the free dining was coming for next January we would probably book 3 weeks for then. However I guess the offers for then will be released after the current ones end. :upsidedow:upsidedow

Just found a thread dated 18th Mar 2010 announcing the 2011 offers.
So they are already later than last year.

Thanks, we're just going to book OKW for the begining of September. Even though flight prices are ridiculous. I'm actually considering Monarch just so we can go. :rotfl:

im weighing up on site of of site .Depending on prices the free qsdp might not be worth it to me as only me and two dc going .And atm its cheaper for me to stay in a value and pay for it

You need to look at all options when your dates & prices are released.
Do you mean to buy the dining plan? personally I don't think it is worth it, $31.99pp there is no way we would get value for that, a counter service meal costs us about $10pp.
