i understand that a tip is included in the 2007 ddp. Il be at disney during free dining in sept, but think i should give a tip as well. im usure on the amounts as tipping is not such a big thing in the uk. How much do you tip on ddp?

Yes, like you said the tip is included, but people do tend to leave extra from time to time. I know a handful or servers at Disney. They always seem happy when a family will leave an extra $5 when they're on the dining plan. It lets the server know they did a really good job.

Well, the tip included with the DDP is 18%. If you found that you exceptional service and wanted to give more, I think another 2-5% of your bill would be appropriate.

18% is included. That's probably within the range of a customary tip. If you want to leave extra for whatever reason (excellent service, you don't think 18% is enough, whatever), that's up to you.

A typical tip in the US for good service is 15-20%. So the server is getting a good tip at 18% of the check. If you have excellant service, consider 2% (to bring it to 20%) to 7% to bring it to 25%.

It is odd to not tip when you are accustomed to tipping, but don't tip out of guilt. Tip to show appreciation for excellance.
