afaik it's still valid ( 3 nights for up to 4 people for 100 point add-on)

From info I received by mail from DVC :

" members choosing to upgrade party size or stateroom accommodations at the time of reservation will be responsible for any additional payment (by cash, check or credit card). Cruise length cannot be increased. Members choosing to decrease party size, stateroom accommodations or length of cruise at the time of reservation can do so, but will not receive any credit back. Cruises cancelled by a Member cannot be rescheduled. Any modification to a reserved cruise 74 days or less before sailing date results in cancellation of the cruise and forfeiture of this offer."

Re dates : mailer states "Sailing dates begin on August 27 2009 through 2010.Blockout dates apply."

Hope this helped some :goodvibes

From the dates listed on another thread, the 4 night cruise that actually falls on Thanksgiving 2010 is blocked. The 3 night that ends the day before Thanksgiving is available. I confirmed that date being available with our guide. So we plan to take that, and then stay at AKV for Thanksgiving. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

there was one thread that mentioned the upgrade to the 5th person was really really really expensive. (in the $4k range?) From what I understood.. The "free" cruise is in a lower category (Cat 10 or 11?) that can only hold 4. but the only categories that can sleep 5 are the family suites Cat 4 and above, so you essentially have to pay to upgrade everyone in your party to a Cat 4... It may be cheaper to buy a seperate room for the 5th person (and you might be able to get an adjoining room?)

If you book an additional stateroom for one person, you will pay the single supplement which is 1.75% or almost the price of 2 adults. Very expensive IMHO.

We booked the 4 night Thanksgiving Day cruise for 2009. We upgraded and added a 5th person for approx. $1200.00. If I remember correctly. The first quote I got was over $4000 to upgrade. That just didn't make sense so I called back. Due to it being a holiday cruise I think the upgrade is more than any other of the other cruise dates. At first we were told we could not get main dining due to the promo. But in the end I was able to get main dining.
Here are the dates

3 Night
8/27-9/24/2009
10/22-12/17/2009
1/7-2/11/2010
9/2-12/16/2010

4 Night

8/29-9/5/2010
9/19-11/14/2010
11/28-12/12/2010

7 Night
9/5-11/14/2009
11/28-12/5/2009
1/2-1/30/2010
10/16-11/13/2010

This is from the back of the certificate/voucher I received

I agree, it's really only a good deal if you are a party of 4. The cruise category however is an Oceanview, which is category 8 or 9, depending on the location. The Cat 4 room is only like 30 square feet larger anyway than a cat 5/6 room, which is the same room as the oceanview, except those have verandahs.
