Free admission on your birthday intro + FAQ + gift card T&C

If some one does not have an email address, that is o.k. For one can always set one up on some ones's computer. For as we know, we can check our email from any computer. So that is something that can be done for adults. For children, I figure it should not matter if the parent's email address is used.

Hi Everyone..

This may sound like a silly question..Yet i don't know how to register other members of my family {my 3 grandchildren who are 6 and under who have annual passes as well as my mother who also has her annual pass}.

They do not have emails.. so.. how do i register them? As we had already planned to go on their birthdays.

Thank You for helping me.:goodvibes

FYI you don't have to register. It just saves time at the parks. But you still have to bring all the documentation anyway, so if you can't register you really don't have to at all.

Like I have said previously. One does not have to register. It simply helps to speed things along, when at the ticket window.

So I've been trying to register DBF again since yesterday. It keeps telling me that 1-7-1976 is an invalid birthday???? LOL So I've given up...I'm just going to let it go and we will just deal at the ticket booth on Wed. LOL

It's now being reported on other sites that DLR (and possibly WDW) policy has changed to permit guests to use the Birthday Fun Card at any time, rather than just on that day.

I'm going to try to see if I can confirm this, but it would make sense. Here in California (and maybe in Florida as well), it's illegal for a business to unilaterally cancel the value on a gift card. While calling it a Fun Card does offer a loopwhole, it's certainly not a big one....

Interesting.... So if this does happen to be true, do you think you would have to go on your actual birthday and get your Fun Card, but if you don't use the total amount you are able to come back at another time and use the remaining balance?

As far as I have been able to confirm, the Birthday Fun Card will be unlimited in usage. DLR Stores are treating them as gift cards for all intents and purposes. It may be used to purchase merchandise, as well as pay for Disney's PhotoPass items onsite (it will not be valid on their website) and selected Guided Tour experiences. It may not be used, among other things, to purchase tobacco or alcohol, or at Third-Party merchants operating on Disney property.

Furthermore, if anyone is interested in the Celebration Fastpass that is being offered as an alternative gift, I also have some details on that one.

There are two types of Fastpasses being issued, being named after Donald and Daisy Duck. "Donald's Favorites" will cover several major Fastpass Attractions, such as Space Mountain in Disneyland Park or California Screamin' at Disney's California Adventure Park. "Daisy's Favorites" will cover several smaller Fastpass Attractions, such as Autopia at Disneyland Park or Mulholland Madness at Disney's California Adventure Park.

I don't know the criteria for issuing one over the other, but I suspect that it has to do with time, with earlier arrivals getting Donald's Favorites and later arrivals getting Daisy's Favorites.

These Fastpasses will not work in the same manner as the Dream Fastpasses issued during The Year of a Million Dreams Celebration. They will be valid for ONE use on ONE of the listed attractions. This use may be redeemed at any time during the day, but can only be done once. The appropriate CM at each attraction will collect the Fastpass ticket after it has been used.

Exactly Pixie,do not worry about it. I like to think that it will not take all that much longer at the ticket window, in the event that registering on line was an issue.
I was wondering, regarding your DBF's registering, how about try 01 and or 07 then the year. These sorts of things can be tricky sometimes, just one too many of X and problem.

It actually auto fills the month as Jan, then there's a drop down for the day which I chose 7, then you type in the year as a 4 digit year, 1976. So for whatever reason it says it's an invalid date, so apparently NO ONE was born on Jan. 7th in 1976. LOL Like I said, not gonna worry about it now. Too much to do before we leave tomorrow. :)

I was trying to remember the layout for the page. Definitely one cannot do anything about Disney's glitches. Other than letting the webmaster know about it.
Again, though, most definitely nothing to worry about at all.

So for this does that mean that you get to use the fastpass only one time for any ONE ride out of a list of rides? Or do you get to use the fastpass to ride ONCE on each of (5 for example) the list of rides? Anyone know?

It's ONE use on ONE of the listed Attractions.

Am I reading this wrong? The birthday FP option is for ONE RIDE ONLY?

Um, Fun Card please!

I'm not sure why everyone is so upset about the FastPass option. If it isn't something that interests you, take the $70 shopping trip.

In the very first post of this thread from when we first found out about this promotion, it says, "The number of birthday FASTPASS tickets issued is limited and may not be available after 11am. Valid Theme Park admission required. FASTPASS for birthday celebrant and up to 5 members of his/her party."

I will say something really good about the bonus FP is you get it for everyone in your group without having to run around to the ride to get it or utilizing your wait period before getting another FP with your ticket.

* bumping with updated information * (wish this was a sticky)

It will be easier for people to find answers to their questions if all new information goes in this thread.

See the HUGE NEWS for some lucky Southern California residents.

I have a class starting on my B-Day..Jan 26. I plan on going, getting my fun card, using it, driving home, then going to class.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I just skimmed through the post and didn't see this addressed, but if I missed it, I am sorry!

My son's b-day is in January. We have annual passes, but often take friends with us. If we go on his birthday (without friends) and opt for the free ticket for another day, can someone else use the ticket? Or does my son need to use it before renewing his pass?

Thanks so much,
Jennifer

The free ticket, like the rest of the Alternative Gifts (and in this case, like all DLR tickets) is tied to the Birthday person and is non-transferable. You can't take it and give it to someone else to use.

As to the Birthday FP and the number that you get, I'm going to go with what Al Lutz is saying. It makes much more sense than what I'm hearing; and, now that I think about it, would work so much better operationally-speaking.

Each individual Fastpass that is issued will still only be good for ONE use on a listed Attraction, and will be collected by the appropriate CM once redeemed.
