Maybe I put in too much tequila...

Kellie - the concoction maker will be ready and waiting!

Ok-I'm about to start a "Oh Woe is Me"...so be prepared to skip the message. My feet have been KILLING me for the past 9 mts to 1 yr (yes haven't quite been taking care of myself because I was dealing with the school district regarding ds's services - or lack thereof) now that ds is settled in private placement and a happy little guy (almost as tall as me and he's only 11) I figure I will make an appointment with a podiatrist thinking I have plantar fasciitis. He takes x-ray, puts 'em on the wall and point - "see this, you are on your way to a stress fracture of your heel" WHAT?!

Here the "Woe is Me" part. I have to wear a freakin' walking cast for the next 5-6 weeks!!! "But it's cute shoe season" I told him. "Not for you it isn't" he tells me.

This cast weighs about 5 pds. It's like wearing a ski boot. and its HOT!

So here I am trying to load up the RV (which is parked across the street 'cause it won't fit in the driveway

) hobbling back and forth with a laundry basket full of RV crap - I can't wait until the fun begins...

Ok I feel better now thanks

But better wear it now that have yourself in a full cast longer. I send you

aww I am so sorry to hear that. Maybe you can put cute little stickers on your cast. So you can at least feel that you get a little of the cute put of sandle season.

Is your cast at least that bright green color? Or did you opt for the glow in the dark one?

Wish you lived closer. I could turn your cast into a frog for you. Or at least carry the basket.

Sorry about the fracture thing. You know SHAYMARAYSMOM is right. You have to take time to take care of yourself too. If you don't and you crash and burn, what then? Your family needs you too much for the long haul, they can let you take a few moments to get yourself together.

The tats they gave me for the radiation I am thinking of turning into a pink ribbon I was looking at this one

If I do it I need to find a place I trust. My brother wants me to get in touch with Miami Ink to see if they will do it

awwww You can wear ONE cute shoe can't ya? Just paint up your tootsies on the cute foot and show it off! Draw the attention awayyyyyy from the cast

I have lavender in my herb garden, but I have almost 1/2 acre of property and 5 different gardens so far- maybe DH will pull up all the grass and we will plant lavendar in its place The little rabbit will stop dead in his tracks when he hits our yard I haven't seen the wascally wabbit today though! I think he's chillin' somehwere

YES!!! I think you should do the miami ink thing...Who would you want to do it, I like the quite dude, not Ari or his partner or the little guy...Jeepers I can't remember his name. He is the one who went with Ari to Hawaii and had the tradition tattoos done there (not that I used to watch the show or anything...)

That is beautiful- however, not sure how the little diamonds on the outer part would turn out. BUT- if Miami Ink did your tat- THEY can probably come up with something!

The ribbon is a great idea though.

My Sister's SIL had a tatoo done by Miami Ink. She lives in NY, but flew to Miami to have it done. I don't know that she did anything special to have them do it. I know she wasn't on the show or anything. Just had a tatoo done by them. I don't the details, like who did it and what she had done. I could find out if you want.

Hi, all!

DH & I have invited our 7 yo grandson to join us for the next few days. He is a bundle of energy! He went to bed at 9:30 last night and was up trying to watch tv at 5:45 this morning. This was just our second day with him and DH & are exhausted....we are feeling so old!

Kellie, enjoy the rest of your week off and get some rest after YOUR LAST TREATMENT! YIPEE!

IAHD, what beautiful children you have! They both have such beautiful eyes!

Madd, DH wants to go down and check out Colorado and Wyoming. After this week, even the kids were saying we need to move farther south.

After looking at your wildlife pics, I am thinking you must be sending out mother nature vibs that all of these pretty critters find their way to you.

TinkerBean...I am sorry to hear about how you have been overdoing things. Hopefully, the cast will slow you down enough to take more time for yourself and put your feet up when you can. We'll have to do a countdown tinker for you and your favorite cast! If I sign a piece of paper and send it to you, will you glue it to your cast?
