Aclov: I almost ordered from B&BW with the code from the other thread and it would have given me about $35 worth of merchandise for $15 + shipping. I decided to print the coupon out, instead, and get the free body butter at the store. I was a little worried the offer might be too good....well, that, plus I am a big chicken!

...Could anyone use a free 1 year membership to AARP?? Or a free 1 year extension??...

NOoooo! It was a church and bar on every corner in a seedy part of Philly

MY Mission (if I choose to accept it )is to count the DD and liquor stores next time I go out- I need to find the ratio.(refer to Happy's off the wall statistic above) I am not sure if she would like me to taste test anything while on my mission! I doubt it, I do not think that would have anything to do with ratios- but I will gladly take one for the team!

You are welcome to partake in the festivities, but only if you can still count after a couple drinks....

Oh, and after all the beer & coffee, you'll be running into the church because Lord know you won't be peeing in those bars!

Sadly enough, around here we have a church on every corner but NO bars and no DD. We do have Krispy Kreme in Lexington though. I loved living out west in both CA and NM. The town in CA had @1000 people and I think 5 bars!! NM was a bigger town so it probably had 20 bars!! Absolute nirvana for a country girl that grew up in a dry county.

Oh, forgot to mention the incredibly awesome freebie day I had yesterday. We went to our family reunion over the weekend and my cousin brought us 4 huge bags of hand-me-downs for DD. My cousin has 3 girls-one four years older than DD and twins who are 2 years older. She always gives us their hand-me-downs and I usually will just go through them on my own to see if there is anything we can use. I decided to let DD go through them with me yesterday and you should have seen her face when I pulled out a Sleeping Beauty dress. Then when I found a Belle one she almost cried, she was so excited. She didn't know which one to put on first. There was also an Esmerelda one(actually there were 2-one for each twin), tons of sparkly princess gloves, shoes and hair accessories. I had to explain who Esmerelda was since she's never seen that movie. I couldn't believe it because DD has Snow White, Cinderella and a Ariel but not those others. She has been wanting Belle and Aurora soooo bad but we couldn't afford to buy them before our trip. I guess it was fate. There was actually a lot of useful stuff too like winter coats and snowboots that even DS can wear. Oh, and I forgot there was also a very nice and probably very $ dragon costume that fit DS perfectly, so he was happy too. AND, we still have 2 more bags to look at today! Now I just wish someone would send me 4 bags of clothes that would fit me.

I get to go back to the ranch! So happy Friday everyone. I am leaving the city again to find peace and quiet at our ranch. It is a quick 3 hour drive and then I get to see what came in the mail all week.

Does it seem like the freebies have slowed down some or am I just not signing up as much? I like all the Freebies that Madd posted from Sam's! WTG!

It just seems harder to find them and harder to get em.

I finally got the juicy juice sippy cup. Came in handy my nephew who was 11 months yesterday started using it. I also got the pearls from overstock, I just can't figure out if they are real or not. They sure don't look like the ones my grandma wore. Anybody else get theirs? well fellow freapsters I'm headed back to bed, got the flu from hubby.(thanks dear)

I just got an email saying my pearls were shipping so hopefully we will be seeing them soon. They are freshwater pearls so they will look different from grandma's as I'm sure hers were salt water. Salt water are round while freshwater can appear more oval/uneven shaped. They are less expensive and easier to make for the pearl companies as far as mainting the pearl beds.

Mine will be put away for DD5's stocking stuffer.

I got my Kitchenaid rebate today!! And it just shipped on Sept 5th. Must be a record!! This was the rebate from the mixer in the Lowes ad mistake. I bought one at BB&B, had them price match it, and got the $30 rebate!

Rub the pearls on your teeth. If they feel rough they are real. Smooth = fake.

Just received my pearl necklace from "Overstock" - the string was broke so basically what I received was a bag of pearls. Now I have to decide whether to send them back, take them to a jeweler to be restrung or resting them myself. Better yet, I think restringing the pearls will be a great job for DD. Keep her busy for awhile and the pay can be - a pearl necklace.
