FREAP CHAT ~ Everyone Welcome!

Poor DH, he clicked on one of those FREE restaurant gift card offers and went through tons of screens to complete a car loan application (without my knowledge of course, he did this on his own!). Well, we've been getting bombarded with phone calls and letters offering a car loan. Some guy even called at almost midnight at his shop asking if he was going to stop by and look at cars:confused:

DH said he was only trying to get a freebie since I always seem to get them. I told him to leave the freebieing to me.:rotfl: And first rule of thumb - NEVER give out your real phone number!:rotfl2:

Our "old" pup has to take meds every night. We put his pills in cream cheese and he wolfs them down. Perhaps, if Barney is a "bagel" you might want to share this idea with your friend - just teasing, do not even know if Barney ever has to take pills, just when I read your in your note "bagel" I immediately starting laughing as the thought "with cream cheese" popped in my head. Thanks for making me smile.

This made me laugh...you guys are probably too young to remember this, but back when Barry Manilow was just getting to be really hot, he had a beagle, and it's name was...Bagel...LOL...

mtbluejeans posted on the Freebie Thread a coupon for Purell $1.50, I've used this one before on the smaller bottle and I think I got it free or only paid a few pennies. I know they have them at Target.

Quote from Freebie thread:

:scared1: I posted some freebies earlier but didn't go through the thread, so not to gang up on anyone but I'm with Madd on this one. I know that sometimes we just go crazy and start posting anything that's FREE - I tend to go on a rampage too, but I've learned to be really careful. I've had to have a link in the past because it was offensive or improper.

So, with that being said freaps - you can do whatever you want but I will definately NOT be subscribing to this magazine.

I did not really want anyone to have a long discussion about this over there and use up pages.

I feel bad, Like I said- no way do I blame baby for the post. The subject just drive me wild.

I agree- I do not post some freebies just b/c I do not feel right about them. As we all discussed a while ago- the "bribes" ooops- sorry, the freebies from the Military:rolleyes:

I see a lot of religious stuff too- I just do not post any of that either.

But I am surprised at just how many people do not even realize what the big companies etc do to animals in labs or research for their products- when I tell them (not preach to them) they are really surprised.

;)

Hey all - do you guys remember who needed the Glucerna free sample? I remember reading that someone's grandma uses them. Let me know who! I just got a coupon in the mail. :)

PM Maggimus - it's her Gram that uses them I'm pretty sure.

:thumbsup2
I just got an email saying I was approved for theSenso coffe maker!

I received my Senseo last week, tried it over the weekend and it didn't work. :confused3 The water never got hot! I did read on the boards that Senseo is sending out refurbished machines, guess that's true. Mine was sent from "Senseo Returns". I sent them an e-mail and am waiting to hear back. Will keep you posted.
So, when everyone received their Senseo's - make sure they work!!

I've become more aware of the lab testing and really look at the products I'm using (ie, make-up, shampoo, etc). Like I said, I think sometimes we just get wrapped up in posting and I post things that I don't sign-up for because I know other people might like it (ie. children's freebies, golfing, etc.).

I don't mind the religious or military stuff much, I figure that's up to the person to decide if they want to sign-up. We've heard some stories already about keeping away from those:lmao:

This lab testing thing just rubbed me the wrong way. I just feel so bad for those animals.:sad2:

Baby: If your reading this, don't take this personally. I didn't even know they had a magazine like this! That's kinda crazy.

About the senseo - try running a cup of plain water through before you put the pod in. I had to do this the first few times I used it. It's getting nice and hot now though.

EEEK! I was a little shocked by that to, why would a company actually put out a magazine like that-- it's like saying, "HEY PETA!! COME SHUT US DOWN!"

Tacoma- have you moved yet?? How is DS doing in the new school??

I ran plain water thru it 3 times and it never got hot. Should I try it with a pod? Would that change anything?

Barney the wonder dog would eat a pill or anything else with no food needed. He's a bottomless pit. The only things he turns his nose up at are tomatoes and lettuce. :lmao:

She boards him when we travel and no joke she calls about three times a day to check on him and to see if he enjoyed his morning and afternoon snacks (some kind of peanut butter thing in the am and a frostypaws in the pm) how playyard time was and what his bedtime story was. (the kennel sells to the animal lover. They completly cater to the pets. It's not way expensive but pricey about 30 per day) She LOVES her dog, so I know she'll get a kick out of the pet freebies for her birthday.

My senseo machine worked fine- so when the light is blinking does it make a noise at all?

Bookgirl- my bulldog (Punki) will even eat TOMATOES! I have to watch her around my garden- she just helps herself! She'll even go get an apple that has fallen from one of the apple trees, and bring it to the porch to eat! And she is in no way underfed!

Oh that reminds me- how is everything for my OK freaps? I am really worried about HERODRX1, bc her area (up by Watonga) is completely underwater... Anyone seen or heard from her?? I think I am going to send a PM.....

I got my first samples after only a couple of weeks of this! My DD received the clinque acne set, which was a very good freebie, because it was three regular sized bottles. I also received some forest poster, and a tape measure and I think that's all.

What's the senseo freebie? Did I miss that one, did you pay for the machine or the pods - is it too late for that one. My husband works for starbucks for he would probably me, but I would love it.

Good for you!!!!! I have not used "regular" brands in years!

Have you cehcked out the companies that do and do not test?? Great reference guide for shopping!

I will not even donate to charaties that test on animals (American Lung Assoc- American Heart Assoc, March of Dimes etc)- - My SIL's mother passed away from lung cancer a few years ago and I made a donation in her name to PCRM, a humane charity.

I found this interesting since we are on the subject- this is on the front page of PETA.org

An animal dies in a government-mandated toxicity test every two seconds in this country. There is a way to stop this, and you can help.

The U.S. government spends hundreds of millions of your tax dollars every year testing well-known chemicals on animals while the agency charged with approving non-animal test methods refuses to take action that could end thousands of crude and cruel tests on animals.

Thanks for the information Madd! I admit I have to get myself more educated on this stuff. When I first got my oldest dog I was feeding him Iams until a friend of mine told me what they did.:sad2: I'm one to always research, not that I didn't believe her, but it's one of those things, like "seeing is believing."
