FREAP CHAT ~ Everyone Welcome!

:lmao: I thought this was funny for Valentine's Day.....

I am listening to the West Coast feed of the Howard Stern Show- Robin is starting the news and she said in honor of Valentine's Day- she wanted to give the guys the result of a poll about "how woman like to be kissed"---

If any of you are familiar with Howard- Fred never speaks- so when Robin asked this question.... you can hear Fred yell in the background........"at knifepoint":lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

OMG- It was so funny b/c Fred never speaks- and all of sudden he blurts this out!
Sounds like Fred has his head in a romantic place today! :rotfl2:

No it is drive thru. But I am glad about that I want to be home with hubby and the cat. Plus we have not told DD Shaunna yet
Wow....do they just use a needle to remove some tissue? I am sorry if that seems an inappropriate question....I am not at all educated on invasive procedures. I guess, health-wise, I have had a sheltered life so far.

kinda of. I will be cut. They said it will only be about 2-3 inches long. Then the are using this wierd looking tool to remove tissue from 6 spots at once.:scared1: If I can handle it without being knocked out all the way they will then do it in another spot. They said if I can not handle it they will need to have me come back and knock me out. Like they are going to get to shots at me for this:rotfl:

Well, I got my MRI report today- I am not crazy about the phrase "disc degeneration" in the report.

I also see "Large, broad herniation across the disc margin with impingement on the thecal sac" and "displacement of the nerve root"

It all sounds like......ouch. My boss said the impingement is probably why I have so much pain in my leg and knee.

My best friend works for a medical facility and she is familiar with all this stuff.

This is a nice little love note she e-mailed me b/c she is so concerned for my well-being:

WHAT THE H$##.
DON'T GO FALLING APART ON MY A$%.
I TOLD YA I HATE SEEKING OUT NEW FRIENDS.
IF YOUR SUPPOSE TO BE LYING FLAT AND RESTING THEN GET YOUR A@! ON IT.

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: I have known her since she was 5- she always tells me she does not like making new friends, she likes her old ones:lmao:

ahhhh friendship..........

I do like the email you got from your friend. My boss is like that. Today he told me he will miss me even if I only plan on being out a couple of days. He made me cry a little than decided to make me laugh by say with me out he has to work and he is not sure how to do his job since I will not be there to tell him what to do and how I want it done.:rotfl2:

Awww....Madd, I am sorry to hear this diagnosis about your back. DH says you need to have the disc removed....are you ready for that type of surgery? How are you feeling today? Is anything getting any better?

Hey Madd,

I feel your pain (literally). I don't know what happened but today all I could do was stand or lie down. Sitting was/is excruciating.

Kellie

We will all be thinking about you tomorrow and sending you positive energy. Any time you start to feel worried and painful - think of your favourite freap quotes, my personal favourite is

_______________________________________________________________

"I see you had your DH tagged so you wouldn't lose him." - mtblu

"I had to use a blow dart to sedate him first- he was a bit "wiley"

They say he won't rememeber thing about getting tagged...poor thing......" -Madd

and then there is the one where *you* said "pooped"

Seriously though, laughter will be you through this. Remember we are going to keep you sane

eeeeekkkk!:scared1: NO I am not ready for any kind of surgery on my spine!:scared1: Did your DH have the same problem?? My back is feeling a bit better- however, my knee and shin are still numb and my leg is still weak. Did I tell you freaps that yesterday I was walking down the basement stairs and after the last step I went to take a step and my leg gave out and I fell to my knees??:rotfl2: I laugh b/c I have a weird thing about laughing when people fall........even myself- I was laughing at myself, all alone:rotfl:

This is all too weird- first everyone here was getting sick- now- back pain!:scared:

It is really weird how we all share - the good and the bad.

Kellie, I'll be thinking about you tomorrow.

Madd, hope it doesn't mean surgery.

Rhonda, hope your pain goes away soon.

Me, my tush still hurts. :rotfl2: I still picture me trying to be Tigger.

Okay we can share many things but I do not want you to have to go thru what I am. I thought I would stop in (not poop in :lmao: ) for a vist before I try to get some sleep. But for some reason I am now starting to freak. This is wierd for me I have never freaked before. :confused3
So do not forget if we get this thread closed and have to move to a new home please send me a map. I do not think I could deal with losing my home away from home and part of my B$$B in the same day:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I know I will miss my home away from home more. Okay I leave :grouphug: to all. I will check in. Thanks for all the well wishes.
Thanks Rhonda I got my pm:hug:

I am the same way!!!! I have bounced down a flight of stairs only to sit at the bottom with people rushing me to see if I'm okay and there I am in hysterics LAUGHING because I was an idiot and can only imagine what it looked like :rotfl:

This is all too weird- first everyone here was getting sick- now- back pain!:scared:

The power of the DIS :confused3 It seems about 4 of us are now laid up with back issues - yesterdays heavy slushy snow did it for me, but the ice helped alot and I feel almost normal today.....what's normal :confused3 Hopefully you won't need surgery but it doesn't sound good with the numbness/weakness in the leg. I was told that when you are losing sensations/feeling in the limb like that, that sometimes the damage is permanent. I am not saying that is the case but please don't wait to long on taking the doctors recommended course of treatment - be it the 2nd, 3rd, 4th opinion. Hope everyone is feeling better and whole again real soon!

What a sweet note...shows how much she cares about you..or how lazy she is about making a new friend..I love it! so what's next? I'm sorry about your results, but hopefully now that they know what it is they can help you.

Kellie, Friday has come so fast. I will worry about you tomorrow, but I know that you will be fine. Let your DH take care of you, I'm glad you get to go home and be comfortable. Prayers for you, I will be thinking of you. for your DH, too. Post when you can so we know how you are...love ya.:flower3:

Nah- She is a very friendly person and will hang with people but she just thinks people are strange and she does not have the time to "weed out" the normal ones so she can keep them:lmao:

She says she only trust her "true friends"

Ok y'all - I ordered "you know what" for "you know who". TBD late this afternoon...:goodvibes

So bummed tho, this is what I wanted to send, but she was "outside the delivery area"

Kellie, you're in my thoughts today more than before. We'll all be waiting to hear what they find.

eeeeekkkk!:scared1: NO I am not ready for any kind of surgery on my spine!:scared1: Did your DH have the same problem??.....
Nah, he can tell by the description from the MRI that you posted....it's in his line of work. I guess discs are little sacs of fluid and they can wear down as we age or depending on the type of activity we perform. It is normal 'wear and tear' for any of us. When it moves and interferes with the nerves, there are several options available, nowadays, to keep your spine healthy. In my uneducated opinion, it is yet to be seen as to how much medical care you will need. I know they have an option of 'shaving' the disc down so it does not interfere with nerves, depending upon the condition of the disc and how much it may have moved from its normal position. We'll see what options the doctor offers once they look at your MRI. The quicker you make a decision on the action to take, the better the chances of resuming normal life activities. I hope you will share what options the doctor recommends. For me, I am learning from all the rest of you what medical treatment I may have to face in my own future and I appreciate everyone sharing. :goodvibes
