FREAP CHAT ~ Everyone Welcome!

Shaymaraysmom and others...I have stayed out of trouble today. Miss-who- peed- in -my -conrflakes hasn't PM'd me with an apology..I actually told her in my first PM to never send me another PM..so she is listening, I guess. I have lurked over there a little, but nothing is stirring.

Tinkerbean, I am guessing your mammographer is current with new technology. Mine has gone digital, and it was so quick and painless, I was amazed. It never was really painful for me, just skin stretching in ways it shouldn't kind of thing. But now they don't have to squeeze you into a paincake, more like a belgian waffle..:rotfl:

I accidently misspelled pancake, but I think I'll leave it!

Did you think she would give you an apology she is wacked.:lmao:
nothing better than a digital b&&b photo:lmao: :lmao:

I do not go there to much. But when I am in the mood for Kellys Roastbeef. That is what makes me happy. I hate the drive there. We live in Walpole so it is about 40 min. with out traffic. But I will let you know

Hey, I would even come to you.

Or we could meet half way...My DS goes to a school in Waltham for kids with A.S. and most of his friends (wow, I can say he has friends - *real* friends) are in Southboro, Framingham, Leominster...So I'm used to the driving

Ok, gonna have a moment - reliazing how far we've (DS has) come in a year

Maybe time to stop the wine:rotfl: :lovestruc :rotfl:

My daughter went to school with a boy that has A.S.His mom was worried about him being in with other kids but he did great. They went to Bishop Feehan in Atterboro. Is his school right near the center of Waltham?

Almost, just by the Westin off 128, check out my blog. This is such a wonderful school. I think that they only have about 18 kids total right now and only 7, including my son in his class (grades 5-7). DS was in public school until last year. First they kept telling me that he didn't "qualify" for services...I loved when they told me they didn't feel that he had sensory issues. This is the kid who sleeps with PJ's, socks, sweatshirt with hood up, (even in 92 degree weather) earmuffs, eye mask and the sheets pulled up over his head. Yeah, OK no sensory issues.

Oh, my favourite though was when he was in 3rd grade, we wanted an aide for him, but they told me that if they got him an aide it would make him "stand out". I was like OK - Have you seen my child? He is the one in the three piece suit with the white button down shirt and red tie (I'm not kidding here) standing in the school yard, talking about Brian Green's String Theory and how it relates to the theory of relativity and quantum mechanics. HE DOESN'T BLEND!!! He never will and that is a ok with us...:rotfl:

But I digress...with the proper supports, kids with Asperger's do great in mainstream classes (as he did before we encountered this specific teacher), Medford however is notorious for not really dealing properly with kids on the spectrum.

Next to Worcester or as others from not around here call it Worchester. It's about 20 minutes from Southboro. Framingham is a hop from here on the Pike.

As a Canadian who moved here 18 years ago, even I knew is was Worcester...but what really got me was Woburn...as in Wooburn or Wuburn...Where is the oo ? One of my friends, who grew up in Everett used to make fun of my accent...This from the girl who pronouced "party", "paaty"...When I first moved here I had to learn to say "Ahlington" and not "Arlignton" and "Mefod" and not "Medford" and "Havaard" and not "Harvard". Which btw is really hard to do when you are French Canadian and really used to rolling your "rrrrrr"s;)

About 2 towns away. We have our own exit off the Pike....it goes Grafton/Worcester/Auburn/Sturbridge as far as Pike exits. Driving wise Sturbridge is about 20 minutes away.

My brother in law is in Sturbridge. Now there is a Auburn mall right

I think to schools just do not want to spend the money. My DD school was a privete school so they I think did a better job for him that the school in his town was willing to do

Funny my daughter can roll her r's no problem (took a little coaching), my son nada...

no rolling of the rs here.
Right now DD and DH are fighting about how to load his Ipod. It is funny. He wants to know if that what the manuel says to do:lmao: :lmao:

tell him to listen to dd, even my ds who is 10 can figure this stuff out better than my dh:rotfl2:

Yes indeed there is a "Mall" although it isn't as big or have nearly 1/2 the good stores as any other mall around here. Actually I work part time in 1 of the stores there - my "other" job other than staying home with my kids. 6 more months and I can say si-o-nar-a to retail :woohoo: I only worked it because the hours are flexible to me working opposite DH's schedule.
