Frankie and Bennys - Manchester Airport

hey guys,

Can anyone tell me if the breakfast menu at FandB at the airport is the same as the regular one: each breakfast £5, unlimited drinks for £1.50......

Nope, we paid more than that last month! It was about 6 quid for pancakes and bacon, so not dramatically more.

I looked and they only have Kids eat free just now but keep checking.

I would expect its down to the ridiculous rents charged in the airport rather than the company profiteering.
I know someone who had a florist shop in the Ridings centre in Wakefield, his turnover was 25-30 times what mine was, he ran his on an overdraft/loans and little wage, at the time I was earning far more than him. He had to close down in the end he just couldn't cover the crazy rent.
I would expect same in an airport.

That was my initial thought too.
However a lot of airports do not charge rent but take a % of the profits.

I remember watching that programme on Gatwick, none of the shops paid rent but a % of their takings. The airport management were going around all shops and working out ways for the companies to take more money. They were then calling in the shops management and getting them to make the changes.
