Here now...actually getting ready for bed, so I'll keep this short. Sorry if it's already been posted, but haven't searched.
Yesterday, they resumed testing a FP+ system at BB. It's only for 3 slides right now...Summit Plummet, Teamboat Springs (family tube ride) and Downhill Double Dipper.
It's kinda like the old FP+ paper system, except you don't need your MB or ticket. Just go to the desk set up at the ride exit (SP and TS are at the same table) and a CM will give you a wristband with a 30 minute window listed on it. Return in that window and the CM will scan your wristband and you get to the front of the line...or at least to the tube pick up point for DDD. You can immediately then go get another.
We used it a lot this morning. I like the concept. Like the old system the FP+ time is in order, you can't pick it. But nobody was using it, so the time was within minutes of getting it. They need to do a little more work on the queue, especially for Slush Gusher, because it was very confusing for guests. However, it worked great overall. Saved us a ton of time. TS doesn't need a FP+, so it was sort of useless. For DDD, the ride moves so slow anyway. Yes, it saved us 30 minutes waiting for our tube, but we still waited 30 minutes to get to the actual ride.
Overall, I like the concept and I'm sure they'll expand and improve on it. Would like to see it linked to MB, but I can see how that would be a challenge, because people will then lose their bands on the slides, etc... However they decide to do it, it's coming. The CMs we asked (we asked several) said the test is 6 weeks long, and they expect to implement it full time shortly after.
