See your pointI was just thinking that the poll would be skewed towards FP+. It always seems like DISers love to pre-plan and FP+ does help with that.

I can't see how any poll on a Disney FAN site is going to be biased against an action that WDW decides to take ...
We cancelled our trip last year over FP+. My family wasn't ready to tour a new way.
We know which rides we like and we like to reride. We weren't ready to give that up last year. We decided we'd rather go without than have an experience that left us disappointed.
We've decided to go ahead and try it next year -- MOSTLY -- because the three youngest girls in our house love princesses. The older members of our family are willing to give it a whirl this new way.
Before the trip last year I was convinced I would hate FP+. Was resigned to the fact that we wouldn't get to do what we wanted. Knew it just wasn't going to be the same.
BUT the thought not to go never crossed our minds!!! And we ended up really liking the new system. Can't wait to go back this summer.
These polls have been posted on and off now for a long time. Legacy would always win, by a large margin as I recall. It may not end up this way, but it sure looks like people are finally starting to come around.
Always is probably not accurate, since absolutes rarely are, but I did a quick check and found one done last October and indeed the majority claimed to prefer legacy by a 2 to 1 margin.
None of these polls really mean much, good for entertainment value but that's about it.
You sure about that Cake? I think you recall wrong.
These results seem pretty consistent with ...

Of course there are other examples of people showing preference for Legacy FP

But the results of this poll are perfectly consistent with other polls we have seen over the last 3 years .... no sign of "people coming around" though an interesting way to spin this.
Of course ultimately you are right, these polls don't mean much, but really, can we agree that there is a significant portion of people who do not like FP+ ? That is one thing we can certainly see. Keep in mind, no one denies that a significant number of people like or even love FP+ ... no one. But there are quite a few people on these boards who keep on trying to insist its only a tiny minority of overly vocal people here on the DisBoards who don't like FP+ ...
Really, I would just like some acknowledgement that there is a significant portion of guests who do not like FP+

Your claim was that in polls "Legacy would always win, by a large margin" ... that is clearly wrong.

What about the last part of my post, the question. Do these polls at least indicate that there is a significant portion of the population who does not like FP+, more than just a tiny vocal minority ?
Now they're gone 60 days out so you know going in you have no hope of getting a FP+ as opposed to actually having an opportunity to get one when you show up.We definitely prefer fp+. We are not normally rope drop people. I can remember getting to TSMM and having the fast passes all distributed for the day.
I suspect you're more likely to see the tiers come to MK than leave HS and EPCOT. This whole process is about lowering expectations so at some point I full expect every attraction at MK to get the FP+ treatment. Then they can say sorry you aren't getting to go on 7dmt and SM but you can jump right to the front of the line for Swiss Family Tree House!I'm pro Fast Pass + but ANTI tiers. Unfortunately, I don't think they'll be removed until DHS and EPCOT have more rides.
Of course, polls like this are totally unscientific for a variety of reasons. Comparing one poll to another is also difficult because the question isn't always presented the same way.
I don't think anyone has ever said that people who prefer paper FP over FP+ are a tiny vocal minority of all people on the Dis. I think I have said that the Dis represents a tiny minority of all WDW guests. I also agree with a PP who said the Dis is disproportionately populated with the type of guests who were able to take maximum advantage of paper FP and who would be likely to prefer paper FP to a system that spreads out FPs more evenly to all guests.
But, if you are going to try to read anything significant into these results, I am puzzled by the conclusion that over 40% of Dis respondents saying they prefer paper FP does not paint a glowing picture. If the results do not paint a glowing picture of FP+, they paint an even less glowing picture of paper FP, since more of the respondents would be disappointed to see a return to the old system.
With all of the complaining that has gone on here on the boards about FP+ I am more than a little surprised at the current trend of this pole.
I honestly, chose Legacy FP only because we had become so adept at it's use, and could really use it to our advantage well, but there are some aspects of FP+ that are very handy. I think, as time goes on, and they continue to make adjustments, and add enhancements to the system, that it will get better. Just adding the ability to get fast passes beyond the first 3 was a big improvement. I am certain we will eventually be able to book those from our mobile devices through MDE, which will be another huge perk. FP+ aren't all evil, I just feel that my family was able to get a bit more out of legacy FP than we can FP+, like three or four rides on TSMM in one day with almost no wait.
Wis, I can link you at least a dozen threads where this has been said, would you like me to ?
