FP+ - Please Clarify!

The legacy FP system will be going away with certainty - all signs and entrances have been converted. Some attractions have already had legacy FP removed.

And know that they are having trouble with inventory management I bet they will hurry it along. Probably as soon after January 1 as they can manage.

I think they're going away, no doubt but: what attractions have had regular FP removed?

I'm hoping they're still allowing double-dipping when we go in December (although I'm doubtful). We park hop, and when choosing our three FP+ per day we had to make some hard choices. :( For instance, we plan to hop from AK to the Magic Kingdom on one of our days and had to decide to wait in the standby line for Everest instead of Fastpassing it so we could use our three FP+ at MK.

We are going in three weeks and I am just now thinking about booking the FP+, so if you plan to park hop, the best use of the FP+ is the use the FP+ at the second park and try and get paper FP for the first park, correct?

Also, can you get 2 FP+ in one park and the 3rd in another.

(sorry, I know this has probably already been discussed in few hundred pages of discussion on FP+s)

I think we can all see that choosing additional FP+ once inside the parks is becoming a moot point. I have access to the MDE site since I'm an AP holder who participated in the test, and I've been logging in everyday to check the same day availability for my own curiosity. Even now (with FP+ limited to on-site guests), there is little to no same day availability for the big rides.

Keep in mind this has not been rolled out to all guests yet, and this is a comparatively low crowd time of year.

Once this is available to everyone park-wide, I think you'll be hard pressed to even score a Journey into Imagination FP+ day of.
"Hopefully", that's due to them only releasing a small percentage of FPs to the APP users during testing...Hopefully....:confused3

I like the idea of FP+. Maybe it'll cut down on the stampeding of the herds at RD,lol. I am also loving the fact that I don't have to get up at 5 am on vacation to score a FP. Score one for the Desperados!:rotfl:

Ultimately, it will work out fine, testing phases are usually a little chaotic.

Soon you'll have to get up at 5am 60 DAYS PRIOR TO EVEN GOING ON VACATION to score any FP.

That might well be the case. We've been here a week and a half and have been merrily swapping out one big ride for another in the middle of the day without any problems. I think it's still very glitchy- we've had the odd instance where I've changed the FP+ attraction and it's given me a new attraction AND kept the old one.

We picked FP+ for our second park because we figured to be at the first park for Rope Drop so hopefully it won't be too crowded and the waits not too long. Right now, I believe you can get paper FP along with FP+, but that might change by December when we go so we made our plans on the assumption that we'd only be able to have three Fastpasses total.

No. You have to use all three FP+ at the same park. I wish it were otherwise, because then we probably would have gotten FP+ for Everest at AK, and then used two more FP+ at the MK.

but how do you get the paper fast pass from the machine if you have a magic band instead of a paper admission ticket to put in the old fp machines??:confused3

Both our APs worked and they still gave us room key cards.
