I was on another board complaining about hopping with FP+... I said that even though it's possible to do, it's not really worth it since the only rides you can get are ones that are basically walk-on anyway.

This person popped on and said they used their first three at DHS and then booked a FP+ for 7DMT while on the bus ride over to MK.

I wanted to call them a liar... Is this even possible?

Don't you have to be in the park to book your extra FP+? And what are the chances of getting one of those extras for 7DMT?

If it was one person, it might be possible.

If someone happened to cancel theirs right at that moment and she snatched them, it is possible. Not certain that it is probable.

HOWEVER, no one can book a 4th other than at a kiosk inside the park. That is balderdash.

Sounds improbable. However, depending upon park, ride, and crowd level, you can get some Tier 1s as 4th+ FP+. Usually, they are for closer to park close and may not be available for large groups. It's worth the try if the kiosk line isn't really long.

Anyone who tells you that they used their 3 FP's in one park and then reserved more FP's on the way to another park on the same day is terribly confused.

We had one day when we could not seem to make any changes, and later found out the system was down. In the days right after that, we were able to do several things we were not supposed to be able to do--like book another FP+ for the same day, after having used our earlier ones. I figured it was another glitch while they were fixing the system. Maybe the person you are mentioning caught the same/similar glitch.

If they were staying CL, they could have texted with the concierge to have them make the 4th for them, or maybe they were participating in a very limited test, but generally, I'd doubt their story.

I didn't try it, but is it possible to add a fourth FP+ at a kiosk at the original park, and then swap it to another park on the app? I know you can change rides within the park, but I didn't try to change any FP+ to another location entirely...

It is possible, though rare, to get A&E or 7DMT as a 4th...we've done both (different trips).....but luck must be a very dear friend, and if you see it, book it immediately as they can, and have, disappeared before we were able to finish clicking and you get that awful message about it not being available......but it was....it was right there! The other "miracle" FP we got was MSEP about an hour before the parade.....I figure someone had them and maybe decided to not stay until evening so switched to a "last ride" before leaving. My kids think we're just really lucky (which we are but I think it's more about how often we go, better chances).

To date, you can only get a 4th and subsequent FP at a kiosk. My understanding is that once you GET the FP you can change it on the app though.

That's what I thought, but I wasn't sure if things had changed since we were there in November, 2014.

Wow, this could make things interesting if you can book a 4th FP at the park you are at and then change it on the app for a FP at a different park. That would be a bit more helpful for park hopping.

I don't believe that you can change it to a different PARK...only to a different ride in the same park as the original 4th.

I don't think availability is the issue here. It is mechanics. The OP is suggesting that someone has reported being able to book a 4th FP while riding on a bus. That would only work if they have started installing kiosks on buses. And that hasn't happened as far as I know. At least, mesaboy2 hasn't added any such information to his definitive thread.

Ok, but club level you can also get an ADR to places that are otherwise extremely difficult to get....so I would not be surprised if club level could get FP+ for dern near anything you wanted.

The only thing I can think of has already been mentioned I think--that while on the bus they contacted concierge at their onsite hotel and convinced them to do it. I suppose that's possible, but seems unlikely. I'm thinking someone is either embellishing or confused.
