FP for meet & greets, limited to 'group slots'

I was messing around with 1 ticket and re-assigning to better understand the process, and I think I learned something about FP capacity for meet & greets. Wanted to check with you folks to see if I got it right?

On some meet & greets, it seems that even if the party is only 1, that specific time slot for FP becomes unavailable. (unlike rides). For example, Meet talking mickey.. if 9:10, 9:20, 9:30 are available and a party of 1 grabs 9:20, the next party of 1 can only see 9:10 and 9:30 as options. I found this on talking mickey at magic kingdom and the character spot at Epcot.

On others, it seems it's more based on capacity, as I can make multiple 1 person reservations for the same time slot. Found that on meet Ariel at MK, meet Rapunzel at MK, and meet pals at AK.

Does that sound about right or am I smoking something?

Luis, I believe it's because only a very small number of groups are loaded into each Talking Mickey room. They need to keep the element of surprise ~ they also don't want a number of families watching the magic tricks and then being disappointed if one is duplicated for them.

For Character Spot, each group meets the characters individually and moves through the 3 different sets.

The others you mentioned have non-stop lines with characters rotating through to keep the line moving at all times.
