Will we be able to snag same day single FP for people not on our trip linked to our MDE account if I bring their bands? It is just my wife and I this Dec but our kids have bands linked to our account. If i bring them can we get those FP 1 at a time at a kiosk?
The FPs are for the people that ARE on the trip.If they're not on the trip, why on earth would they need fast passes?
No, they don't.I think that the Magic Bands need to be used for park entry to be valid for FastPasses - that's how it was with old tickets anyway.
I hope Disney would have seen through this cheat.

There's a thread about this kind of thing:

OP - you may want to keep any eye that thread to see if anything changes before your trip.
Unfortunately, the bands do not have to be activated with park entry. Disney expressly prohibits the use of MB's to gain additional benefits other than a single band per person. They also prohibit using other people's bands.

It's same day FPs only. They can't be used to pre-book. I don't see it as being that big of a deal. That's really unfortunate.
I am not much into rides, so I booked my FPs for my daughter and husband. We used the MBs interchangably on our last trip. At least some CMs saw this and knew it and didn't act like we were doing anything wrong.
I don't know if it's officially against the rules. Maybe it is. I don't know.I'm not saying that didn't happen. What I'm saying is Disney officially says it's against the rules. It's their choice whether to enforce that or put in stops to make sure it doesn't happen and so far, they have chosen not to.
