Is the FP only good for the Mickey and Pals meet? Or do you get to pick between Mickey, Baymax, or Joy/Sadness? My sister wants to Disneybound as Joy and Sadness, so it would be helpful to get a FP for that character interaction!

The FP+ for the Character Spot only covers Mickey, Minnie & Goofy.
Baymax and Joy/Sadness are stand-by only.

To piggy back on this thread, anyone know how long the waits are with a fast pass right now for the Character Spot? Last summer we had one got in line, the line didn't move for 10 minutes, asked a CM for a guess for how long it would be and were told 45 minutes. We got out of line, 45 minutes with a fastpass is way too long.
We are going again in August and I got a fastpass for it but wanted to hear how long the waits have been to see if I should keep it. We met Anna and Elsa last summer and only waited 10 minutes, it was middle of the day and FEA had a pretty long wait so it wasn't like the park was empty

And extremely unusual. Fifteen to twenty minutes maximum is the norm.

Worth noting, you can't meet Joy/Sadness and Baymax with Mickey and the Gang because they aren't in the same building. So don't go in there expecting to find them all together.
Should have really used different names for their locations. It confuses most everyone.
Joy/Sadness and Baymax are across the breezeway

And the standby for Joy and Sadness can be a time sucker! We waited 50 minutes last August at 10:10am. The main problem for us was, the line didn't look all that long. We thought 20 minutes. We are usually pretty good with our estimates. But we soon realized many families were using a place holder while they met Baymax (very little line) or did who knows what. I had never experienced that at Disney before. The main reason the place holding annoyed us was that it caused us to underestimate the wait. Also, Joy & Sadness spend time with their visitors making longer waits than other meet & greets.

I find that the characters that don't sign. (like Baymax and Sulley) tend to have much shorter lines. Last year in October Joy and Sadness had lines over an hour while Baymax only was about 15 minutes.

Signing does make a difference but as PP noted, Joy and Sadness are quite interactive. They tend to spend quite a bit longer than avg with each group. Which not only increases the times but it increases their popularity. Often the less interactive characters are one and done types so they get shorter lines in general but those that are fun tend to get repeat guests. More guests, longer time with each guest, longer waits all around.

The Disney visa line can be long sometimes. I've seen it take 5 minutes or it being so backed up it was predicated to be 45 minutes at Epcot.

As others have said Joy and Sadness take a while. Baymax usually isn't too long it seems. It really is about timing and how busy the park is.

Disney visa meet n greet has specific hours. So just be aware of that. Enjoy your trip! :)
