Four-mer TKers...4 one, 4 all, 4 ever

Plus, it's so much easier to go to the bathroom in the woods! Don't kids bring joy in their innocence?

I'm getting 49 more in my retirement check this month...something about the stimulus and not taking as much federal tax out...but they said it might mean paying out when I file my taxes...so why give it out now? I'm not sure how many months it'll affect. The state just sends out notices if my retirement changes. Otherwise it's just deposited.

Ya see, there's always a catch to almost everything with the gov't. They will give you a break for now but tell you that you might have to pay it back.

I voted for Elliot Sadler in my fan all star vote. I guess you can vote everyday?

I haven't even looked at the fan vote yet. Is Schrader eligible? Or how about AJ? I really like him for a newcomer. Of course, it could be because he has a cool hat. :rotfl2:

I wanted to vote for one of the older guys. Maybe Schrader was on the list. Can't you vote every day?

I haven't even looked, to be honest. DH loves him. He got to meet him once and he struck up a conversation about DD5. Gives him a soft spot in our hearts, you know. And also, he's a racers racer, if that makes any sense. He just loves it without the money even thought the money is nice.

Yeah...he owns a small track somewhere too. I'm going in and find my summer gown...also turn on my little fan. Night...

Pikester, we are Disney "freaks" :lmao: so it's a bit different for us. Maybe that type of touring will work for them. I just hope they don't plan on strolling into the parks at 11am and thinking they will get on every ride with no wait.

You told them it will be hot, right? I hope they paid attention to that. We went in August and I swear I could see the kids just melting out there. Me, not really, I love the hot weather. But they were exhausted after only a few hours out there.

Hey, you never filled us in when that kid's mom came to pick him up. What did you say to her?

Night!!!

Disney "Freak" is right! :rotfl:This is their first time ever. When it was our first time I did alot of research. I bought a Passporter and looked up stuff on the internet. I can't imagine going down there without knowing anything about where I am going. I'm sure they know some stuff but I mean knowing more detailed information.

The kid lives just up behind us so he just went home when it was time. I never saw his Mom to say anything. I think my DS8 spent a little too much time with this kid as they have been fighting more then normal. I don't really blame DS8 as the poor kid can't even go out in his own yard without this kid coming over. I'll give it a little more time and then I may have to step in and make the kid go home when DS8 needs a break.

Only skimmed a little. Hope everyone is doing well. Keep taking care of yourselves, and watch out in this heat!

Money worries suck!

You said it sister! Like you said, there are many more who are worse off, but it doesn't actually make your situation better... and money can just be so stressful. I try not to make it a focus, but when you have to confront it every time you pay a bill, it can get to be a burden. Hopefully things will look up soon.

Wendy, You are one HOT Chick!!!!

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: Um, thanks...

Ok, here's the fire story. On our way home from grocery shopping, we see tons of black smoke in the distance in the direction of our house. It was also in the direction of the place where my brother works which had caught fire late last year. As we are getting closer, we realize that it's not close enough to be near our house or the workplace.

7:30...a few minutes after we get home, DH's phone rings. It's DS's mom saying they would drop him off at 8:05 because they are traveling. DS gets home even later than that and when he walks in, he reeks of smoke. Turns out when she called us, they were leaving to go see the fire. She decided to take her 2 kids, one of the 9 years old, to go watch this fire.

It was a very bad fire. 4 houses were destroyed and two others severely damaged. 7 firefighters were taken to the hospital and there are still some people's pets missing.

I just can't imagine deliberately getting in the car with my kids to go watch someone else's house burn down. Especially a fairly young child. And I can see if that interests people but I just don't think it's "right" to teach your kids to "gawk" at other people's misery.

And of course, it totally annoys me just because it was her. :rolleyes1

Gee, why am I not surprised it was HER??::rolleyes:

It restarted. AOL doesn't usually give a message that it's encountered a problem but this time it did. Then it restarted itself. I just go with the flow...

I'll tell you what I always tell my Mom: GET RID OF AOL!!!!!!!

OGM! It was such a Monday Monday! I am so glad it is almost over! One of those stress filled days.....

I hope things look better in the morning. I know that we are so blessed compared to many, many people. And, I do know the good Lord will provide the things we need.

My DD did say something today that gave us a good belly laugh....
First, a little background. She is pretty sheltered and still very innocent. She follows me everywhere I go which often includes into the bathroom. So far, I have not shared too many things with her about the way women's bodies work. However, last week I decided to try to explain a little about periods.
Now, fast forward to today. We were playing a game with DS. While she plays she jabbers constantly cause that's just what she does. So the topic for the moment was why she thought it would be good to be a boy.... so in from of my son she says........(drum roll please...
drumroll.gif
) Well, at least I wouldn't have to have a bloody crotch! I almost fell in the floor. And of course, DS was almost hysterical!

So sorry about the mold and the $$ worries. At least you have the right perspective.

As far as DD's comment...:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: i just spit out my OJ laughing so hard!

Heading for 90 degrees again today. Woo hoo!!!! Tomorrow it will be back to long pants, jacket and umbrella. So I am loving it while I still can!

Pikester: My first trip and every one since has been with friends who know the park. I still got a Passporter and read what I could. I still try and find things out. I don't think it makes me a freak! It just means I am curious. I want to know what to expect, what to do to make my trip more enjoyable. If I hadn't wanted to expand my knowledge of Disney, I never would have meet all you! So curiosity is a good thing! :woohoo: Maybe you need to send that kid home when he needs to use the facilities.

It's only going to be 88 today!

I need a pool like Baby Lighttech...

Well, maybe a little bigger! :lmao:

Morning:

Well our weather took a turn overnight...went from sunny and in the 70s to raining at 30s.

Marie - Thanks for the giggle...made me choke on my morning coffee.

I'm at work today so I best get something done...TTYL

Beautiful day here right now. I love this weather. Too bad it has to end tomorrow.

Wendy, yeah, of course it's her. We just don't understand what is going through her head lately. Ok, well, ever. :rotfl:

racetrack18kb I should have realized who it would be.
Pikester I hope the newbies have fun but I bet they come home upset because they had to stand in long lines, heat and the other typical complaints. :sad2:
mariezp  Hang in there. Hopefully, things will get better. :flower3: At least you informed your DD. I was never told anything by my mom, had to learn it all at school.

We'll be gone for 9 days but only 4 1/2 at Universal. Stopping in both Daytona and Virginia Beach on the way home. DH always hates the super long drive home so we are breaking it up much more this time.
No plans for Disney for you yet?
Doing a pilgrimage in Daytona to see Kenseth's car - right? :rotfl2: If we get back to WDW in Dec. for DH's 40th he said he wants to go to Daytona.

OGM! It was such a Monday Monday! I am so glad it is almost over! One of those stress filled days.....
First off, I am so tired of battling the bulge and getting nowhere. On the bright side, it is not that time of month so at least I am not overly bloated and dealing with a migraine too.

Next, we had testing done to check for mold in the house. The results came back. We do some high levels of various mold. On the bright side, it was at least not the black toxic stuff. So now, I need to decide what to do next....

Then, this month our income was $2000 less than usual and not looking to improve anytime soon. On top of that DH worked on the tractor and took some parts to the machine shop. When he got the bill it was $700 so that came out of the month's funds as well.
So... DH asked me if we were gonna be okay financially a few days ago... I tend to stick my head in the sand and just pay the bills and hope that if I don't think about it the problem will go away. However, this time I got out the calculator and came up with the total we spend on an average month. It was not good.
So... after DH went in late because it rained and then came home early I decided it was time to share the financial situation with him so I wouldn't have to decide how to fix it by myself. (and also so he would know it was serious and not be spending any unnecessary money.) So I got a load off my chest and felt some relief myself but I know he is gonna be gloomy for several days. On the bright side, we came up with a few ideas to help but it ain't gonna improve overnight. Money worries suck!

I hope things look better in the morning. I know that we are so blessed compared to many, many people. And, I do know the good Lord will provide the things we need.

:lmao:That is too funny!
I hear ya on the money worries. Hope things turn around for you. If not, I can give ya my version of the Suzi Orman plan on things to save money.
That stinks about the mold issue. Hope that won't cost a lot to fix.

It's only going to be 88 today!

Only 88. Sheesh - we're back to 40s & 50s here. Bummer!

Morning:
Well our weather took a turn overnight...went from sunny and in the 70s to raining at 30s.
Same here, only we just got down to 40s last night and 50s today. It's getting so I don't know how to dress the kids in the morning.

Hey D&D. Got your DS's note. So cute. I hope he gets to see some of what he's learned about PA. He probably knows things I don't. :lmao:

I've been shredding...enjoying looking at my pink dogwood out back. I'm saving exercise until 4:30. I think most of the residents are eating then and it's not as busy. I can watch the news while I ride the bike.

:lmao::lmao::lmao: Tell us how you REALLY feel...:rotfl2:

Thermometer right now says 83. Guess that cold front must be coming through! But for some reason, i've got a real hankering for ice cream! :lmao:

I have to go to a class tonite (last 3 CEUs to renew my Nursing license). D'ya think I have to change into something "professional"? Or can I just go in my shorts? Or do I even care?????

Thanks for letting me know you received it. He received your postcards on Amish Country last week. We both read through the book and learned a lot. Now I think I need to go through Lancaster too.
Both of my boys have recently become interested in the Civil War. DS11 is studying it in school and DS7 just read the book "Civil War on Sunday" (part of the Magic Treehouse books) So I guess we'll have to stop in Gettysburg too. So much to see and so little time.
