Four Brits hit the world the TR! ***Finished***

Love dthe LeCellier report I have ressie there for Feb. Will try the filet unsure about dessert but will pay oop for the cheese soup just so I try it!!
The filet is to die for Rosie, definitely order it!

It's amazing how angelic children look when they're sleeping!

I think I'd go nuts if I had to ride Buzz 3 times in a row, that ride gives me a headache!
Hey are you saying my kids aren't normally angels ;) :rotfl2:

I can't wait to try Le Cellier on my next trip. We will not be on the dining plan though which means paying OOP. I'm sure it will be worth it though, at least I hope so.

Ellie is too cute in those ponchos pictures.
I hope Le Cellier is as good for you Lessa as it was for us, yeah Ellie is a sweetie, well most the time :rotfl2:

Jo, you lucked out. I swear, it rained each and every day of the 24 we were there. I am not a wimp and if it had been the normal stuff it would not have phased us at all but it thundered and "lightinged" and lord it was frightening! Knocked on wood and nothing helped!!

How did you like the pretzel bread at Le Cellier? It is my favorite bread of all. I usually get mine, on the cheap, down at the Biergarten.

What a beautiful sight to see your girls sound asleep with their rabbit. Hold those moments dear as they will be middle aged women tomorrow. It happens just that fast!!
We were really lucky with the weather Linda! I'm afraid I didn't really like the pretzel bread  I love looking at them asleep, you could never believe they could ever be naughty!!!!

Great installment Jo,sounds like La Cellier was a hit! Those smores looks so good Cute pic of the girls sleeping!
Thanks Leyla :goodvibes

Maybe he snuck back to see if his name was still #1! :rotfl2:

So cute ...

What an empty bus and I love how you conveniently get out of the picture ...

What would you do without me?

I love this saying. Next time it really rains, I'm going to use that and see what everyone's faces look like when they have no idea what I'm saying!

Well, you know I'd tell you to post it! :rolleyes1
:rotfl2: I wish he had that would have been funny :rotfl2:

Yep I tried to keep out of those photos and I hadn't even put on my poncho then :rotfl2:

Thanks DM, yep what would I do without you

Oh DM you so must say what everyones reactions are with chucking it down :rotfl2:

I have GOT to hit the mini golf one time. In 15 trips I've never done it. And you're a golfing man too :sad2:

Great scores! The Man Won!! ::yes:: ...as usual. :snooty: Well he is a PGA pro so he should, that's my excuse and I'm sticking with it!!!!

I do. Secretly guzzled Guiness in the bathroom with the door locked. :rotfl2:

This is why we rent a car. ::yes:: Epcot's a 7 minute drive from any resort.

Man Tip - When you arrive at the parks late in the day (say after lunch) tell the parking attendent you left a spot up front just a little while ago and they'll let you drive up there. You WILL find a spot as people leave early all the time. We haven't had the guts to drive over there yet seeing that you drive on the wrong side!!!! Maybe next trip and great tip

Oooohhhhh.... you're making me soo hungry right now. That steak is awesome! No cheese soup? Nope sorry, not my thing I did try get David to order it but he wanted shrimp?!?!?

That's a great Buzz score. My personal best is only 220k. :rotfl2:

This was the day we left Jo and my mother told me about that rain. We apparently took off about 20 minutes before it hit. I;m glad becasue we had already been delayed an hour. Glad you were still able to get some things done though. Glad you managed to take off!

We loved LeCellier too, but I had the same reaction the shrimp appie that David had. I thought it was kind of bland. The steak though was Awesome I can't wait to have that steak again

Ellie and Jess look like angels when they are sleeping Awww thanks

Almost meet time. Yep, pity you weren't there

Great update. the food does sound delicious. glad you had a nice time. too bad for the rain. does not seem to have slowed you down much.
Thanks Scott, the food was wonderful and no nothing stops us :rotfl2:

We love LeCellier too, Jo! Tell David we ate there twice on our 7-night trip. DH loves the steak there. And DS had the moose twice...now an adult dessert so it's extra!

Bummer on the rain but I guess it's really hard to complain about one wet afternoon on such a long trip.

I love those quiet hours before the ticketed events. That really is a great time to go to the MK!
David has said we've got to go to LeC at least twice next trip :rotfl2: We were really lucky with the weather, we didn't stay lucky though!!!!

That blasted rain ruined my IROE cruise! Next time :thumbsup2

So I wonder if David's gonna run over to the mini golf next August to see if his score's still up? No he'll want to beat it :rotfl2:

Aha! I knew you loved IASW - I remember how you dragged us all on it on EMH morning. Yep I did didn't I :rolleyes1

WooHoo!!!! You're almost there!!
Nearly where???? ;) :rotfl2:

We loved LeCellier best meal of the trip DH said the Creme Brulle was the best of the trip and he ate one everywhere we went, it's on the top of our list for the next vaca. We also have'nt played mini-golf on any of our trips, I give you credit playing out in the hot August sun. You probably posted this early in your TR but what section did you stay in CSR? We love the waterparks as well it's like a little piece of paradise.

DM thanks on that tip on the parking I always thought about those spots but did'nt think they would let you do that, do I need to mention your name? :) Linda

In all of our many, many trips we still have to play miniture golf. I keep putting on our list but it never gets done. I hear that tining is everything and if you plan a tee time properly it is possible to see the MGM fireworks. Something to look forward to. :)

Montana, could you expand on your parking lot strategy a bit? I have a handicap sticker but have found that if I do not get to MGM early enough I have to park so far back that I just cannot make it, or it is not worth the slow, arduous hike. I can often SEE empty spots up front but the attendant alwas refuses me entrance into that hallowed area.

DisneyJo, I can tell you, from much experience, that children have an internal gauge that lets them know when they have nearly worn out their welcome and automatically switches them into 'angel' gear. That is why so many survive to adulthood. :rotfl:

I will gladly eat your share of the pretzel bread. I eat low carb except for on vacation and even then will not eat bread unless it is extraordinary. I have the recipe and plan to make it for Christmas. We shall see how it turns out.

I nearly tried the Creme Brulee as I love them but wasn't sure if I'd like the maple side :confused3 maybe next time :goodvibes We stayed in Ranchos 7B which I so didn't want but actually it was fine there was a bus stop right behind our building, dig site only a few minutes away, we had a quiet pool and the main centre was only about a 5 minute walk, plus there were golf carts constantly giving people lifts :thumbsup2

We always played during the day, mad I know but it was quiet :rotfl2: Oh and you're welcome to my pretzel bread :rotfl2:

Jo, your Ellie is just too funny! :rotfl2: That face is so squishable.
Thanks Kate, I do constantly want to squeeze those cheeks :rotfl2:

Well as we’re leaving you know they have the best score of the day on a chalk board well guess who saw that they were the best of the day, yep David so he asked if he could put his name up :rotfl2: That made his day and he even joked how he wanted to go back later to see if he was still the leader...
Oh, I am SO heading over to check the board next month! :thumbsup2
The rain clouds were coming, oh side note we had been incredibly lucky so far having only had a tiny bit of rain in the 11 days we’d been there :thumbsup2 As we get closer to Epcot it got blacker and blacker...
Sorry about that - I seem to have brought it with me that night.:guilty:

As the weather was so horrid we decided that MK would be empty and it was :yay:
You guys are the ultimate park commandos! :cool1:

What sweet angels! :goodvibes

DisneyJo, thank you for your kind offer of the pretzel bread. Could you please send me some of your metabolism so that I will not incur dire side effects (saddlebags and thunder thighs)? It is usually too darned hot during the day for me to play golf. Someday, we shall see though. I would never want to complete my list of new things to do as that would mean that we do not NEED to go back. :rotfl:

winniethepoohsmom, my name is Linda too but neither one of us has gotten the answer to exactly how we get those parking places. Everyone is far too busy arguing over who gets the credit for the idea. Sounds like Congress to me. :rotfl2:

This was the easiest of all the courses and as normal we had tons of fun, the girls loved being squirted on one of the holes when you got the ball out
Sounds like fun!! I think DS5(happy) would love this as he is learning to play golf and is surprisingly good for a little guy

We all (except Ells) ordered the Grilled 5-Oz. Filet Mignon served over cream cheese mashed potatoes, finished with a roasted garlic demi glace, Jess ordered the sauce on the side though and oh my :faint: the steak just melted in your mouth it was the best steak we’d ever had, words simply can’t describe how wonderful this steak was :cloud9: Ellie ordered Hot Dog and said that was good too!
glad you all enjoyed
It was still chucking it down
does that mean raining or raining really hard????It sounds funny, I love all your phrases!!I mat start using them here:rotfl2:
As the weather was so horrid we decided that MK would be empty and it was :yay: We headed straight to our favourite Buzz and walked straight on 3 times in a row
nothing better than that:rotfl2:
Now the thunder and lightening started and it was right on top of us, the rain was lashing down and the lightening was almost constant

Golf? Of course :rotfl2: Hope your boys get better :)

Hi CE :wave2:

Firstly David’s account of today! (BTW remember he's a PGA Pro!)

Got a cab from CSR at about 7.40am arriving at Magnolia about 8am ready for my 9am tee off. After paying and getting my rental clubs, which were Titleist and a Scottie Cameron putter, in the Pro shop I found Waldo and Andy. (DisneyLand_Mama’s DH and Dad) We made our way to the putting green, overlooking the course, which was very misty after the previous nights storm. Coming out of the mist there was a group of birds which we found out were turkeys, I thought these were the only Turkeys I would see today, I didn’t realise I’d be playing with 3 of them for 5 hours ;) :rotfl2:

I noticed a cart with a set of clubs and a lot of boxes of golf balls, these turned out to be Tony (LL’s DH) my playing partner! I thought he must be a good player to buy such expensive balls!!!!!

A fun time was had by all BUT………….

Upon finishing the 9th hole Waldo was convinced he knew the way to the 10th tee, he set off in totally the opposite direction to Tony and I only to have gone the wrong way! As we finished playing our shots Andy and Waldo reappeared making out they’d gone to find the bathroom, yeah of course :lmao:

After about 5 holes a new rule was brought into play that the highest score that you were allowed to get on a hole was double the Par. This was a bit unfair on Tony on the 12th when he made the only Par (excluding me) and the other 2 lost 2 balls each on a par 3 and both declared they’d made 6’s :rotfl:

Tony’s greatest achievement was on the 18th when he found a ball in the rough, this enabled him to actually finish the round as he’d lost the $60 worth of balls he’d bought

Waldo put his bad golf down to the fact that he didn’t have his trusty 7 wood, Tony preferred to hit into the water rather than on to the fairways and Andy well he just stood the wrong way round ;) :rotfl2:

Maybe it would have been better to play with the other Turkeys as they were the only birdies we saw all day :rotfl2:

All that’s been said though I can’t wait for our rematch :thumbsup2

Continued here!!!

Sorry I'm late sweetie--but catching up now! :thumbsup2

We dried off and headed to the Winter-Summer Land Mini Golf, we’d already played the summer course earlier in the holiday so Snow Course here we come :yay:
So--do you like this one the best overall?

That made his day and he even joked how he wanted to go back later to see if he was still the leader, I wouldn’t have put it past him either, but thankfully we were just too busy :rotfl:
Tell him that I checked and he is still the leader by 2--but it could go anyday so he better get back soon! :lmao: ;)

For entrée Jess and I had the tomato stack, it was OK, David had the shrimp again OK and Ellie had a garden salad, she still says the Spoodles one was by far the best, she became somewhat of an expert in the garden salad department :lmao: But we weren’t here for starters were we, oh no bring us the steak, well except my youngest DD who *gasp* doesn’t like steak :faint: Oh well saves me some money!!!!!

Dessert was surprise, surprise an ice-cream sundae for Ellie, I’m surprised she didn’t end up looking like a sundae :rotfl: Jess and I both had Smores which were not what I was expecting at all, they were basically 2 thick chewy cookies sandwiched with vanilla ice-cream with a big marshmallow sticking out the top, yummy though even though I did give my marshmallow to Ellie! David had the chocolate moose and said that was good too!
Yum!! :cloud9: I'm looking forward to this meal!!
Tell me: should I ask for a specific area??
BA is not fond of meat either but will be on the adult plan now--any recommendations?? (She likes hamburgers)
