Four Brits hit the world the TR! ***Finished***

After paying and getting my rental clubs, which were Titleist and a Scottie Cameron putter,
 Is he making excuses or is this a good thing?? :lmao:

I thought these were the only Turkeys I would see today, I didn’t realise I’d be playing with 3 of them for 5 hours ;) :rotfl2:
:rotfl2:

I thought he must be a good player to buy such expensive balls!!!!!
:lmao: Reminds me of when my husband says "I have cheap balls"
No further comment.

he set off in totally the opposite direction to Tony and I only to have gone the wrong way!
Really? That's so out of character for Waldo, isn't it??:lmao:

This was a bit unfair on Tony on the 12th when he made the only Par (excluding me) and the other 2 lost 2 balls each on a par 3 and both declared they’d made 6’s :rotfl:
Ah! These rules I understand. :thumbsup2

Tony’s greatest achievement was on the 18th when he found a ball in the rough, this enabled him to actually finish the round as he’d lost the $60 worth of balls he’d bought
:rotfl2:
DH got super-excited last year when he played the entire game with 1 ball. I didn't quite understand that till he told me how many he usually played with.

Waldo put his bad golf down to the fact that he didn’t have his trusty 7 wood, Tony preferred to hit into the water rather than on to the fairways and Andy well he just stood the wrong way round ;) :rotfl2:
Too funny--you need to print this one out and stick it in your album!

I still remember the day on your PTR when the other gals said "WHAT?? Your husband is a golf pro???"

Firstly David’s account of today! (BTW remember he's a PGA Pro!)

Got a cab from CSR at about 7.40am arriving at Magnolia about 8am ready for my 9am tee off. After paying and getting my rental clubs, which were Titleist and a Scottie Cameron putter, in the Pro shop I found Waldo and Andy. (DisneyLand_Mama’s DH and Dad) We made our way to the putting green, overlooking the course, which was very misty after the previous nights storm. Coming out of the mist there was a group of birds which we found out were turkeys, I thought these were the only Turkeys I would see today, I didn’t realise I’d be playing with 3 of them for 5 hours ;) :rotfl2:

I noticed a cart with a set of clubs and a lot of boxes of golf balls, these turned out to be Tony (LL’s DH) my playing partner! I thought he must be a good player to buy such expensive balls!!!!!

A fun time was had by all BUT………….

Upon finishing the 9th hole Waldo was convinced he knew the way to the 10th tee, he set off in totally the opposite direction to Tony and I only to have gone the wrong way! As we finished playing our shots Andy and Waldo reappeared making out they’d gone to find the bathroom, yeah of course :lmao:

After about 5 holes a new rule was brought into play that the highest score that you were allowed to get on a hole was double the Par. This was a bit unfair on Tony on the 12th when he made the only Par (excluding me) and the other 2 lost 2 balls each on a par 3 and both declared they’d made 6’s :rotfl:

Maybe it would have been better to play with the other Turkeys as they were the only birdies we saw all day :rotfl2:

All that’s been said though I can’t wait for our rematch :thumbsup2

I am not even going to multi-quote as the whole thing is :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I should get David to write all the days he's way funnier than me :rotfl2: I thought the turkey/birdie bit was pretty funny too :rotfl2: And yep Waldo was in fine form, unfortunately he won't be there next year for the rematch :sad2: So they'll be looking for someone to make up the 4 ball, who's brave enough? :rotfl2:

I would throw Jim in fron of that bus, but he'd kill me:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Whoa! Wait up there Jo. I'm still working on Waldo and TE to join us next August. TE's on board, but Waldo needs a bit more coaxing!
Will the golf sway it? There again it might definitely make it a no :rotfl2:

OMG! I laughed so hard, I think I pee'd a little! So funny what David said about the turkeys being the only birdies they saw all day, as Waldo gave me the same line!
Really :rotfl2:

ETA: Per Andy: What kind of PGA pro can't score a birdie?
Ooooooooo the challenge is on hey, he'd better start practising :rotfl2:

Loved the golf story !!
Thanks Rosie :)

Hehe.... Loved David's golf story.... he told it well!
Thanks Tanya :goodvibes

the golf story was great. very funny.
Thanks Scott :)

Golf Pro - Yes

Comedian - No

J/K ;) :lmao:
You'd better be  :rotfl2:

I'm a big Fan of this rule only I've modified it a tad. I'll take the double bogie but I subtract the amount of balls I had to use to get that score. 7 on a par 5 with two lost balls = Par!!
Very good :rotfl2:

Uff da! :sad2: I remember playing in Mexico with a nice round rock I'd found. Worst part is those were my best holes!
:rotfl:

That was fun!
Glad you enjoyed it, not very often you read a golf report on here, well if you could call that golf :rolleyes1

I love, love, love your take on the 2007 Focker-Spouse/Dad Open. Too funny! For us - maybe not so much for you
Glad you liked it V!

WAIT a minute - I didn't know Tony LOST all the balls he bought?!
How did you NOT know that :sad2: :rotfl2:

I didn't realize this either! This is just too funny! I love how Waldo and Andy tried to cover up by using the bathroom as an excuse Poor David!
Classic Waldo hey :rotfl2:

 Is he making excuses or is this a good thing??
No he was impressed by the quality of the clubs :thumbsup2

Reminds me of when my husband says "I have cheap balls"
No further comment.
:rotfl2:

Really? That's so out of character for Waldo, isn't it??
I know, who'd have thought Waldo would disappear? :rotfl2:

Ah! These rules I understand.
Yeah :yay:

Too funny--you need to print this one out and stick it in your album!
Glad you enjoyed it TE :goodvibes

I still remember the day on your PTR when the other gals said "WHAT?? Your husband is a golf pro???"
I know, LL didn't believe me at all and said she wasn't going to tell Tony!!!!!

I am not even going to multi-quote as the whole thing is
Did you find it funny by any chance Janet? :rotfl:

I would throw Jim in fron of that bus, but he'd kill me
Would he not want to join them????

Hi Jo!:goodvibes I had to read the last five pages:scared1: I can't believe I got soo far behind.:sad2: Le Cellier is one of my favorites too.YUM!:woohoo: The pictures are great ,if I ever see Ellie I may be tempted to squeeze those cheeks. The golf story-:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: Thats all I can think of to say about that one.:rotfl2:

Since you love golf and Disney World there is only one answer. Start making your plans to retire to The Villages. It is less than an hour away from DW and has many quality golf courses, most of them free if you are a resident.

I have many friends who already live there and if I get enough I could come visit for a week with each one and spend the entire winter there. :thumbsup2

Verse 1:
Oh, the noble Duke of York
He had ten thousand men
He marched them up to the top of the hill and
Marched them down again

Verse 2:
And when you're up, you're up
And when you're down, you're down
And when you're only half way up
You're neither up nor down

Verse 3:
Oh, a-hunting we will go
A-hunting we will go
We'll catch a little fox
And put him in a box
And then we'll let him go

Whoa! Wait up there Jo. I'm still working on Waldo and TE to join us next August. TE's on board, but Waldo needs a bit more coaxing!

Ahhhhh....I didn't realize you were working on them!! Ok, here's a movie question for ya T, but I'll use Waldo's name instead...

"Walllldooooo....come out to plaaaayyyy"...can you name the movie???

OMG! I laughed so hard, I think I pee'd a little!

How did I know you were going to say that??:confused3

So funny what David said about the turkeys being the only birdies they saw all day, as Waldo gave me the same line!
:lmao: Good job Waldo!!!

I can't wait for Andy to read what David said about his game! :lmao:
I forgot that I'd printed it out and brought it home for Tony to read until last night...

ETA: Per Andy: What kind of PGA pro can't score a birdie? :rotfl2:

Per Tony....what kind of PGA Pro scores a 7 over???:confused3

David, I'm :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: AND a whole lot of :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I love, love, love your take on the 2007 Focker-Spouse/Dad Open. Too funny! For us - maybe not so much for you

Me too!!!!

WAIT a minute - I didn't know Tony LOST all the balls he bought?! :rotfl:
I didn't realize this either!:rotfl2: This is just too funny! I love how Waldo and Andy tried to cover up by using the bathroom as an excuse:rotfl: Poor David!

Yep...but like David said, luckily he found that last one! $60 for a box of balls and they didn't even have Mickey Mouse on them...can't figure out why they were so expensive...:confused3

:lmao: Reminds me of when my husband says "I have cheap balls"
No further comment.

Tony's balls have always cost me a fortune...in one way or another...:rolleyes1

DH got super-excited last year when he played the entire game with 1 ball. I didn't quite understand that till he told me how many he usually played with.

Tony never would have said anything...in fact, he's never said how many he's lost, but I have noticed that all the boxes of golf balls we moved here with are gone....

I still remember the day on your PTR when the other gals said "WHAT?? Your husband is a golf pro???"

Yep...good stuff, huh?
