Katd52-I agree that the Maclarens are great! I had an older version I took to WDW last year & it was stolen from outside Fantasmic! But price-wise it is hard to compare the 2 since the MacLaren cost so much more. Since you can use the stroller again with a younger child, it is certainly worth the investment.
Since I started researching this stroller issue, I talked with a Combi rep when they visited a local store to gain some insight into the making of these. She stated they are marketed to appeal to a wide range of individuals, but are very good for those who live in very urban area and need to have a very lightweight, portable and durable stroller. They build the strollers to have a lot of "give" so that they can take different road/sidewalk textures, etc... It was interesting to hear what she had to say & made me understand why they "feel" different than most strollers I am used to.
That being said--I am happy with my purchase of the Combi Travel Savvy for about $80. If I had a younger child I probably would have gone with something with a back axle (like the Graco), but since short usage & portability are the main goals of mine, this fits the bill!
