I just found the Combi SUVB stroller. It holds children up to 45 lbs. weights 10 lbs, reclines, folds to 8 in thick and has a carrying strap.Combi .
I've been looking for a new one since the one we have has a bad wheel and is very large.

I recently bought the combi subv stroller as well! My DD is 2 1/2 and our old one was
too big to bring to disney- this one is very light, folds easily, and can support our 31 lb DD

I highly reccommend it!
Beka's Mom:)

I have this stroller and i would highly recommend it! But you can get it for much cheaper if you go to bluelight.com

There is also a special code to get 10.00 off a 50.00 dollar purchase, the stroller is slightly less than that so i bought a set of luggage locks for 2.00 and after the coupon it was still less than it would have cost for the stroller and the shipping combined!

If anyone wants this discount code, PM or email me and i will be happy to share.

PS i got my stroller only 3 days after i ordered it regular shipping!

on the combi site it lilst for 49.00 also. I was going to check on shipping on both sites today (and check our local stores for it). I like the combi site because it has it in 4 different colors, but the 10 off at K mart might be the decideing factor.

Ok-found the Combi Sub-V 3000-0 for $44.99, here's the link:

However, they state that many Combi items are sent from Combi & take 2-3 weeks? The Galaxy print version ships the next day & the other 2 prints take 2-3 weeks, I guess. I have not ordered yet, but am trying to get a local store to price match this one. The shipping is $5.99 so the total would be $50.98. Since I live in NY they also would charge me tax, so I would be paying $55.19. The cheapest I can find it locally would be $58+ tax . Kmart (bluelight.com) is looking better & better!

thanks for the link. I looked in several store today and no one around here carries it.

could you tell me if when you order the stoller from Kmart if the print was the same as on line...
we went to our kmart and they had a diffent color which is not the same as what is on the site.. I like the one on the kmart site better... and could you send me info on the $10 off coupon .. thank.. my e-mail is DLook1174@cs.com thanks

rhiannonwales--

Thanks so much for the stoller info. It looks great and the $10 off can't be beat. Can you please email me the discount code info. My email address is lovelyk68@aol.com. Thank you so much!

Veraletta the one i recieved was the navy dot pattern which is on the website. MY kmart doesn't even sell combi strollers in their store. :(

Just curious for those who have the Combi SUBV? We tried this out IRL @ a local baby store & found that the footrest is really set up too high for DS. I didn't think he had really long legs (he's 43" & 43 lbs at 4 1/2 yo). We are thinking of going with an inexpensive used jogger now because of the footrest. Any thoughts?

We actualy bought one of these strollers for our trip to Disney in October lat year and we ar using it in September this year. My daughter is 3 1/2 yrs old and weighs about 35 lbs. It fits great for her. The footrest is a little high and I usually have to remind her to keep her feet up and away from the wheels. But usually it is no problem. She loves it and it reclines so she can sleep in the parks. We bought ours at the Right Start here in Boston MA. However they have a website as well. Try them.
Thanks

Anyone with older/taller kids using this one? We can purchase it for about $50 with shipping, but am curious if anyone has had this with a taller child. I can't see myself constantly reminding him to keep his legs up, that could get uncomfortable after ahile.

Does anyone know how tall it is?I'm 5'8" and most stollers are a little short and i have to lean forward and after pushing awhile it gets hard on the back. For instance the $10 umbrellas at k-mart are too short-is this taller. Does it recline all the way? Thanks!

dutton: sorry I did not see your post. Check out the link above for the a pic of the stroller & the info on it. Also-this only partially reclines, so it is not good for infants, but is ok for toddlers. The recline is done by moving the strap clip across the belt & lowering the seat that way. I am 5'6" & this one seemed fine for me, DH is 6" & it was way too short for him to push the handles comfortably.

After trying them both out IRL I decided to get the next step up from the SUB-V for my 4 1/2 yo DS (just so he can ride when he is tired & to get to the buses, etc..) IMO the Travel Saavy was had much nicer padding, plus I liked the fact it stand up by iteself when folded.

My DS is 3 and a half and tall for his age (43 in.). I'm trying to decide what stroller to bring. Can these strollers fold up to take on the railroad in MK? I know that you can take a stroller on , as long as it folds up and can fit where you're sitting. Do any cheaper brands (like Kolcraft) make something along the same lines?Right now I have an unbrella stroller and he does have the footrest problem. I also tried to buy an umbrella stroller once with the hood and he was too tall for it!!!!Help!!!!

susy-my DH is now 44" (grew since the last time I measured him-lol!) & I just got the Combi Travel Savvy. He fits in it fine, and it does have the hood/sunshade. I got this from UPS yesterday & figured I would try it out at the grand opening of a new SuperWalMart. It worked great!! I was so impressed with it and very happy I got a bright colored one as well, very easy to spot!

Here's the link to see what it looks like:

It folds up even nice, IMO, than a regular umbrella stroller because it can stand up by iteself. They have a neat way of folding flat then turning in & latching. Also it was easy to open 1 handed. Not sure about taking this on the railroad since I haven't been yet, but I will post here after my trip next month since I am planning on trying to do that.

I've been watching this thread and others for a while trying to figure out which stroller to get for my 4yr old ds. I decided after the good reviews to purchase the Combi SUBV. It seemed like I made a good decision until I got it. I got it all set up and had my 45 lb son get in it. It was awful I thought it would break as I pushed it through my living room . It was very rickety and seemed like it would snap in half making a turn. So I try it with my 36 lb. son still bad. On I go to Toys r Us and purchase the Graco Kite Literider stroller(I've heard good reviews about this one too) Get it home and put it together and it seems pretty good except my son is too tall. When I recline it his head doesn't fit and neither does my 2 .5 year olds. Also when it folds up it still is too big for my liking. So this morning I take them both apart(no easy feat) and get them back in their boxes and return them to the stores. I have decided to get the MacLaren Daytripper. Its a little pricey but, I know it will work for us because I have the MacLaren Techno(which I LOVE!!!) for my 2.5 year old and my 4yr old fits wonderfully in it even when it reclines! The money is worth not having to stress about this stroller issue anymore.

Katd52-I agree that the Maclarens are great! I had an older version I took to WDW last year & it was stolen from outside Fantasmic! But price-wise it is hard to compare the 2 since the MacLaren cost so much more. Since you can use the stroller again with a younger child, it is certainly worth the investment.

Since I started researching this stroller issue, I talked with a Combi rep when they visited a local store to gain some insight into the making of these. She stated they are marketed to appeal to a wide range of individuals, but are very good for those who live in very urban area and need to have a very lightweight, portable and durable stroller. They build the strollers to have a lot of "give" so that they can take different road/sidewalk textures, etc... It was interesting to hear what she had to say & made me understand why they "feel" different than most strollers I am used to.

That being said--I am happy with my purchase of the Combi Travel Savvy for about $80. If I had a younger child I probably would have gone with something with a back axle (like the Graco), but since short usage & portability are the main goals of mine, this fits the bill!

Just saw the Maclaren Daytripper on sale for 167.00. Is this a good price? Katie, how big is your 4 yr old? Mine is 38 inches tall and about 38 lbs. The travel savvy footrest was way too high. How are the Maclarens? the footrest is now my main problem. How can we keep them from getting stolen? This would be a lot of money for me , if I got one.

susy...I've read some pretty good suggestions on how to discourage theft of strollers at the parks. My favortie is since you can't lock it to something take a bicycle chain lock and run it through the fornt weheels so they can't turn. the CM can roll them around on the back wheels but anyone steeling it would lokk rather stranage going throughout the park with it like that.
