Found a nice place to stroll a baby/toddler to sleep in MK

Just an FYI for anyone who could use it. We had intended to head back to the resort for naps in the afternoon, but we were all having so much fun we never wanted to leave the parks. Our 2yo was the only one who needed an actual nap (as opposed to a few minutes on a bench with a Mickey bar). So, anyway, at MK on two different days she got in a great nap on a porch near the exit of Splash Mountain.

Walk under the bridge, past the Splash Mtn fast-pass distribution kiosks, past the toddler play area, past an outdoor portion of SM's line on the left, past restrooms on the right. Walk along the wooden porch toward the door to the gift shop that people have to walk through to exit SM. Don't go in the gift shop, but turn left immediately before the door. The porch extends down a little ways, but almost no one walks on it. It's shady and quiet. I think there was even a ceiling fan that kept the air moving. There was a bench to sit on and push the stroller back and forth a couple of times, and dd was out like a light!

The only thing to watch for is the other door to the gift shop at the far end of the porch walkway. Hardly anyone uses it, but it's a good idea to stay a little away from it just in case. Dd2 napped there for a good hour, hour and a half on two separate days while dh and I took turns sitting on the bench next to her, while the other rode SM and BTMRR with dd8.

Hope this helps someone!

Thanks for the info!! I was going to post this question!

Our first day we arrive at 9am but can't get in the hotel til 3 or later........I think we'll be at Epcot that day. Anybody know of a quiet place to stroll her to sleep in Epcot?

Hmm, we never ended up at Epcot during naptime this trip, so I wasn't on the lookout, but there seem to be a lot of quiet areas in World Showcase. I'm sure we saw a couple of little gardens tucked away behind the main hustle and bustle, but I'm not remembering now exactly which countries. I'm sure someone will know of some place more specific.

Actually, Future World near the large fountains might be a good place, too. The sound of the water will drown out (no pun intended! ) other noises, and if you face the stroller towards the fountains, although interesting to watch for a little while, the child won't be distracted by other changing sights, either.

Good luck.

Great info, thanks! My DS is not much of a stroller napper, but I'm hoping we can get him to while we are on our trip. You figure with the early close winter hours if we take a break mid day and come back after his nap, we'll only have about an hour to play. But the last thing I want to do is drag him around all day and have him get out of the habbit of taking naps. I guess we'll have to play it by ear.

We found another great spot in the rose gardens near Cinderella's Castle - DH and I spent a very romantic two hours there talking while DD napped. Not sure about Epcot either (we went back to the BCV for this as it was so close). I do know that those gardens off of each country get characters "hiding in them" every once in a while to pleasantly surprise guests. I might try wandering down to the Beach Club beach and picking out a hammock to while away the time.

There are some lovely spots in Epcot that come to mind (granted, my children are 11 and 17, so we don't nap, but I'm always on the lookout for a quiet spot to rest!!!)

The first is a pretty little butterfly garden on the Test Track side of Future World. I think it is reached by going through the FastPass area for Test Track and continuing around to the right. Don't think there is a bench there, but it is a beautiful little butterfly garden - there's a box where sometimes you can see butterflies getting ready to hatch. It's pretty quiet and off the beaten path. On the other side of Future World, there is a nice spot outside The Living Seas - that water makes a very soothing sound as it crashes against the rocks, and there are benches all around that area, too.

In the World Showcase, the rose garden behind England comes to mind - unless a show of The British Invasion is playing!!! Otherwise, it's lovely and quiet back there most of the time. The inside of Morocco is usually pretty quiet, too, I think - not as many people wander back to the shops, so it should be peaceful and calm.
