FOTL questions

I understand that FOTL is only for onsite guests.

However, I am wondering, can I buy one night of a room and just not use it so I can get FOTL access?

When does FOTL access start/end in relation to your one night stay?

How many people can get FOTL for one room? We have 8 people...no one will sleep in the room or even see the room, but we would all like the privledge of FOTL (but probably not all use it same time). Can we get 8 FOTL for one room/one night (no housekeeping on our room should save them some $$$).

How do they identify you as a FOTL person? Is it a room key that you flash at attendants, is it a special ticket? is it a stamp on your hand?

You have to show a room key for each person including children who want to enter FOTL. You may be able to get 5 room keys tops for a room. I am sure they wouldn't let you have 8. You get FOTL access on check in day and check out day.

another factor to consider

you can have 5 in the room but if you have more than 2 adults (18 +)
you pay a fee per person that is considered an adult.

so if you have 5 adults, additional fee for the 3 extra adults.


all that are registered to your room receive their own hotel key which is used for fotl. names are printed on them. even a 3 year old would receive the key card

can't use the express line unless you bought the epp or have the hotel card key

So now that there are NO kiosks to get express time tickets, FOTL is about the only option...
So if I get 5 room keys and do FOTL...can I also use it in conjunction w/babyswap? ie, let the rollercoaster crazy boys go FOTL, get a babyswap ticket when they go so I can stay w/the younger girl, and then use the babyswap ticket and FOTL to swap adults riding w/the boys?

Am I going to have to show a driver's license w/the room card key to prove I am who I say I am? I would think b/w the 8 of us with one younger child who can't go on the big stuff, we could manage to use the cards fairly consistently in swapping out adults.

i handed my hotel key card to the employee and it was scanned


you can buy the express pass plus for the express lines.
any one can purchase those and get head of the line access

thanks...but aren't those express pass things a booklet where you get ONE express ticket for ONE person for ONE ride? I think the boys would want to ride hulk and spiderman more than once as well as the dragons.

yes the epp is for one time rides on that day.

i don't think you can swap out the fotl hotel key cards as you mentioned above.

due to the abuse of the buy an adult/get one child free ticket, universal has changed its stand. now those tickets are marked adult/child.

i would not be surprised if we have to show an id when using the fotl hotel key card in the future.

it might be possible for you to ask when you check in to be able to add 3 extra people to the room. you said you are not going to use it, only to get the fotl for the five of you. with that into consideration, maybe the hotel wil allow you to purchase the additional 3 add ons.
depending where you are staying, the hotel adds a surcharge if more than 2 adults are in.booked the room

thanks! I think I will give them a call and see if they can do that.

See, I figure 8 people buying Express at $30 each is $240 while "buying" one room at RPH is $249...seems to make more sense to me.
