FOTL for resturants

I was just wondering if FOTL can be used at the City Walk resturants, and how that works. I'll be there during the Thanksgiving week and it seems like the parks aren't crowded then, but does that include the resturants also? Should I consider making reservations at a few places?

You on-site hotel room key will get you next available seating at the City Walk restaurants (except for Emeril's). If there are a lot of other on site guests there before you, you may have to wait a while. We have always had good luck and been seated in a matter of minutes with our room keys.

Thanks for the info. I had heard that, but I wasn't sure if it was true. I would almost feel guilty about getting in front of a bunch of people if the rooms weren't so much more expensive than a regular hotel. Have you ever had anyone get upset about it?

It's not as easy for people to notice at the restaurants as it is as the parks. At the Hard Rock Cafe there is a separate line for priority seating, so you're not really with the other people. If you put your name in at other restaurants people won't know if you were there before them unless they're really watching. We have made reservations at the Latin Quarter and Mythos in the past although we didn't really need them.

When you say that your room key gets you fotl, do you mean that you can make ps at the restaurants on City Walk (whereas, normally you can't)? Or does that mean that you don't have to make reservations, but you can just show up and show them your room key and you get to the front of the line (except behind other resort people)?

I guess I'm being especially blonde today!!!

Yes, more like that. You will get next available seating by showing your room key. If you're going at a crowded time, it doesn't hurt to just make a ps in advance.
