asked this on transportation thread, did not get an answer, so will ask if anyone here knows.

We have horsebackriding at 2:30, for 45 minutes. It is right as you enter Fort Wilderness.

We have HDDR at 4:00, be there 15 minutes early for check in.

So if we are finished at 3:15, which we will be, every time we ever been they are very good with there timing. We get the bus to bring us down to the other end of resort, say we wait 15 min for the bus and a 10 min bus ride, we should be fine and get there no later than 3:50. Am I right?

I want to do them so n the same day, we always do, but this time they seem to change the times, and no longer go on the hour every hour, they are doing horseback riding every hour and a half. So if I do 1:00 I will be standing around 2 hours 15 minutes. If I do 2:30 I cut it close, but can it be done. If I do the 4:00 we are back to a 2 hour and something wait.

We do have a car, but I am not sure we can drive down ourself, I think you need to take internal bus system, am I right.

You're correct - you can't drive yourself back there. You just park your car at the FW check-in area, and walk right across the street to the bus stop for the internal busses.

Our recent experience with the internal bus system was great. We had a 10:45 reservation for Trail's End breakfast. We had our own car, so we parked around 10:00, hopped on an internal bus that was waiting (we were the only passengers), and were back at Trail's End by 10:15. The driver slowed down for each of the internal stops, but if no one was there, he didn't stop. Getting back to our car was the same experience. I know this was easy in large part because it wasn't a busy transportation time (not around parks open/close), and I would suspect that in the late afternoon the experience would be about the same for you.

Thanks, wish we could take the car since we are at wilderness lodge so we could be back so soon, but oh well. We may end up taking the boat over and the bus up, to horseback, then when we are done, the boat back to the lodge. Either way, thanks for answering the question, just wanted to make sure it can be done.

That's what I would do-much more "fun" than driving.

I can drive all I want to at home, but I can't go ANYWHERE by boat once back home!:)

Oh, I agree completely! I didn't realize you were at WL. I'd definitely take the boat to FW, then internal bus to the horse stables and back, and then the boat back to WL after HDDR. Have fun!!
