I accidentally posted this on the Family Board, but since it hasn't been moved yet, I thought I'd post it again. Hope this is okay. :)

We are going to Epcot on NYE, and will only be going to WS. I'm wondering how inconvenient it would be to take the bus from Fort Wilderness to the Boardwalk and enter through the WS entrance. How long will the bus transfer at TTC take? I'm not very healthy, and I would like to cut down on as much walking as possible. I know all the ways to get from Fort Wilderness to the main entrance to Epcot. Thanks for the info. :)

Your best bet would Probably be to take the bus from Fort Wilderness to the Disney-MGM Studios. From there, catch the boat to Epcot's International Gateway entrance. Your walking will be limited to the bus-boat connection at the Studios, and of course within Epcot.

There is no bus from the TTC to Boardwalk. To get a bus to the Boardwalk, you will have to go through one of the parks or Downtown Disney. You could take the boat from Fort Wilderness to the Magic Kingdom and then get a bus to Boardwalk, but then you either have to walk a short distance over to World Showcase or, to avoid the walk, get on the same boat that comes from the studios to the International Gateway.

Doesn't the boat from MGM stop at Boardwalk 1st before heading over to Epcot?

Yes, it is the last stop before the International Gateway.

Thanks! :) I didn't think about taking the bus to MGM. That definitely sounds like best and fastest way to go. Plus, we'll get to ride past all the resorts on the Boardwalk to see there outdoor decorations. Will this work in the reverse also?

Yep....just get the boat at the International Gateway exit and ride it back to MGM and then walk to your bus stop. It will take about 30 minutes for the boat ride because they make several stops (Boardwalk, Y&B Clubs and Swan/Dolphin)...but hey it is a comfy place to sit and you can people watch while you ride.

The walk from the MGM boat dock to the bus stop will be considerably shorter than the walk from the Boardwalk bus stop into Epcot....that would be a fair hike.
