You are right, but same thing goes, lets say they only built OKW and BWV, the first two WDW resorts. BCV would still be smaller and everyone from OKW would want in at 7 months...everything would basically be the same. Right now there are 7 different resorts, yes some are small, yes some are larger.....sure some people won't get what they want, but it really hasn't decreased the odds of changing resorts at 7 months, just might adjust based on trends out there.
OKW used to be bashed prior to SSR for not being near a park and how they were booking rooms elsewhere, now SSR is that resort and it has been slacking off more and more and AKV has taken some of that heat off of SSR.
I think the real trend is new owners are much more likely to "resort shop" to try out other places, before they settle down and learn where they like and where they don't like. Whenever you have a major influx of owners (look at all the BLT owners trading out at 7 months) you are going to have this affect magnified, but in the end, the same number of rooms per points exists for booking. The difference is that now there are seven choices instead of two or three. If they build another there will be 8 choices......sure you might not get the one you want, but a smaller membership with less resorts/rooms wouldn't necessarily help that.QUOTE]
I understand where you are coming from, thats why I subscribe to the following philosphy....
Buy where you have to stay.......be OK staying anywhere else......
This is why we bought the majority of our points at the Beach Club. Its our "must have" resort. Outside of that we are ok staying at the others if we make a last minute change or ressie. Although I will say we have been VERY lucky at getting what we want at 7 months.
