I am not a fan of science fiction, but this is not that sort of work by Bradbury. He was born and raised in Evanston, IL, and my Grandpa was born and raised in a nearby town, Glenview, IL. So I see a lot of him in the book, and it makes me feel happy.

Sounds like we all need to throw some pixie dust for sunny weather. My day of fun continued with making dinner and chasing the dog to retrieve some new thing she decided to eat (socks are her favorites.)

Reagan eats socks, too. He pooped out one and puked up two recently. That can'[t be good for his digestive system! Now I am a firebreathing, sock Nazi. Anyone who leaves socks laying around feels my wrath!!!

Probably tmi, but when Whitley rids herself of the remains, the threads make that difficult. She does that "chasing tail" routine, but the tail is not the object of attention, kwim?

Well, we registered for our church convention at the Anaheim Convention Center and booked our hotel in Anaheim. If DH gets his bonus for bringing in poundage at his job we'll go to DL/DCA for a day.
As it is, the hotel is only two to three blocks from DL/DCA; too much of a temptation for me. We drive down the 23rd or 24th.

No. He works for a company called Reading Tree. They collect and donate books to schools, illiteracy campaigns, and kids who otherwise can't afford books.

Yeah, Reagan needed, um, help ridding himself of the sock remains. I'm glad dh was here to do it. I heard about it after the fact from the kids, who thought it was both disgusting and pretty cool. Kids!
