Former Lasagne Lovers Meet Here!!!

Hi Everyone! Remember me? :) Looks a little different around here. No need to update me though, I know what's up.

How's it going?
Howdy! :goodvibes

Honu, we'd have time to stop at sonic for 5 minutes, probably not more, especially if we're just getting started on our trip.
I heard a rumor today that you can get cherry vanilla dr p at dairy queen, too.

Hi Everyone...Honu great to see your pink letters :thumbsup2

Stopped in to say Howdy. Not much time to play to busy watching over my contractors during the day and shopping for tile and so on.

Hope all is well. Honu hope your Sinus infection goes away soon so you are feeling better.

I have been sitting at my comp all day doing research....my back is killing me:goodvibes I hate researchpopcorn::

Hey, Robin! Hope that you find the perfect tile at the best price! We are trying to do a small remodel on a rental property and finding someone to do the work at a reasonable price has been a nightmare. I know that having someone work on your home is even more maddening.

never thought of asking about contractors' prices...good thinkin' there, robin!

i know what you mean about being thousand-dollared to pieces. nothing is simple and nothing is "just one thing". (for instance, i could not believe how much it was going to cost to have plantation shutters in the whole house, so now i'm doing them one room at a time. tsk. very annoying.)

You would figure that companies would lover their prices some but instead they are just plain high. I bought a whole house water system today for $2,000 you know that their phones are not ringing off the hook for people jumping in to buy them at that price. It is a salt-free system. Water filter is one unit and the other is a water conditioner....not softener.

But with the hard water out here which I can no longer stand having to scrub off of things....I had to get it. We will see how well it works. Wont take away the hard water but will be able to wipe of instead of scrub off hard water stains.

i could need to know more about this. when i was building the house, i had it pre-plumbed for a water softener, but that only affects the hot water. we have hard water too, and it is really tough to deal with. to get it off of the tub, i use a green scratchy sponge attached to a palm sander. yes...yes indeed it sounds weird, but i don't have sufficient elbow grease and the palm sander does all the work, along with a little clorox clean-up.

so with your system you have a filter, but what is it that conditions the water in the other piece? does it connect where a water softener would go? and...the big question...do you know if it works with a tankless water heating system?

thank you for doing all my work for me. :teeth:

I leave soon to have my surgery.

Good luck SM! You're going to be fine and pain free very soon.:hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:

To Tink and Honu, y'all do know that, every time y'all mention Sonic, I end up taking a trip to one - last week it was for a cherry Diet Dr Pepper [pretty good - my first one] and today it was for a bacon cheeseburger with tots [except I didn't get bacon on mine - Tink, could you talk to them about that for me?]. I *had* to eat big today because I'm spending my afternoon doing some major spring cleaning....after I finish here of course...and a couple of other sites and take my nap and eat a snack and walk my dog....
