Formal Night Updo at Senses Salon?

Has anyone recently gotten an updo (or similar styling) for formal night? We're sailing on the Fantasy in April and I'm thinking I might want something "different" with my hair for formal night. If you've had an updo (or similar) done on DCL recently, (a) were you limited to a few styles to choose from (similar to BBB) or did you have "free reign" like you would in a normal salon?, (b) did you feel the price was fair (DCL website says $48 AND UP for an updo, so not sure how high "AND UP" might go)?

I'm just trying to decide if I want to splurge on this or if I'm better off coming up with something on my own. All of the posts I've come up with via search are a couple years old, if not more. Pictures are also a plus! Thanks!

I have done this. I got an updo before Palo dinner for my hubby's birthday. I could choose any style I wanted, just like a regular salon. I let the stylist do what she wanted and it turned out really well.

I don't remember the exact price but it didn't stick out in my mind as super expensive or anything.

No there was not. I just asked for an updo and described the dress I was wearing that night. She loved my natural curls and decided to run with that. It looked great!
