Fall 2026 itineraries

I don't think they will sail to Alaska or Europe in the Fall. Australia and Hawaii will most likely return. I would love to see them spend a winter in South America, but I don't think it will happen.

I wonder if they could sneak in a jaunt down toward Patagonia either on the Brazilian or Chilean side, without needing to throw off their entire Caribbean or Baja schedule.

If they sailed down the Pacific Coast, I wouldn't care if I had to go alone, I'd be first on that cruise.

...my working theory remains that part of the reason for the delay is that Australia may not be happening next year and they have to figure out what to do with the Wonder and Magic. At this point, I would not be shocked to see a full Fall/Winter season out of San Diego - or maybe some new homeport in Southern California. Not totally ruling out Hawaii though

They would have to embark from South America. Most of the ones I've looked at depart from Rio or Bueno Aires and they are generally long cruises. South Americans flood WDW in the Winter so I would think there would be a market for it. The US to Rio is another insane long flight though...would Americans make the trek down there?

I have not booked on a competing line yet, but I can understand why others are doing so-- especially if you need to hit school break or popular periods, the best rooms on other cruise lines get snapped up and generally pricing tends to go up as categories are closer to being filled. It used to be on some lines you could book dining and shore excursions as soon as you made the deposit-- so there are definitely advantages to booking early, and we're now barely over a year out!

I didn't get the email re: Galveston sailings, would someone mind sharing what that promo is?

There are a lot of Americans flying to Singapore next year, Rio/Buenos Aires is slightly closer for most of America…especially on a limited season of sailing I think it could do well…but I think a 10 day Panama Canal circle (with a couple island stops or Costa Rica/Belize) would be an easier sell.

NCL, Celebrity, Princess and Holland America all do South America.

It was asked earlier if Disney's delay is prompting bookings with other cruise lines. I thought about it but decided to pivot and am considering booking a trip to Aulani. I have never been. Can use my DVC points and it would actually be cheaper to take my niece to Hawaii for a week at this point than waiting for Disney to release new dates and booking a week long cruise with DCL. But I promised her a Disney cruise so I am torn.

MSC did move one of their big ships there.... did several more traditional 7 night cruises, but only for one month.

Princess did two 16 night cruses that included South America and Antarctica... on their smallish Sapphire Princess.

It's clearly a limited market...

Yeah, I went over to NCL and Princess to take a look. While it would be cool, I really can't see Disney doing that at this time. Maybe, just maybe in 2032 after all of the ships are out and before the Magic and Wonder are scrapped, they might do a season. Right now, the market doesn't appear to be big enough and they don't have enough ships for it.

That's central America not South America. A lot of Americans flying to Singapore for 4 day cruises? I've heard a few people mention it on here, but I doubt Americans are what's filling the ship over there.

NCL has some great itineraries out of Lima. Lima is relatively easy and inexpensive to get to.

I only see two dates, $3200 pp for inside... not too bad for a 12 night cruise. Flights look like $800 pp if you live near a major international airport, or $1200 pp if you have to get connecting flights to one.

It would be Disney's prices so maybe 4200 pp for inside.... Like most all the other lines, limited supply is the only way they could do this. But I only see South America being an adult type of itinerary, not something parents would be looking to do.

I'd take DS (10) to South America, as long as it wasn't during the school year.

I would totally take my kids if the schedule worked but I also fully admit I am not your average cruiser. Haha. But given soft sales and new ships coming, I am hopeful they will start throwing a bone to those of us looking for new/different/exotic options.

Over on cruise critic NCL cruisers are not happy with NCL. They seem to changing itineraries, cancelling ports, and such after PIF date. Even skipping ports after cruise starts.

One cruiser had two ports in Vietnam cancelled for no apparent reason. They have the best itineraries of any cruise line, but aren't dependable. I had booked an Asia cruise with them and they changed some ports I ended up cancelling and just doing a land trip. I would do some research before booking with them or just plan on booking after PIF date.

Because our seasons are opposite it would make it difficult for families, yet ABD is in South America during our Summer their Winter. In some countries like Peru their Winter is prime tourist season because it's the dry season and not so hot. ABD is also in Australia in our Summer and their Winter.
