Kids got WDW gift cards for Christmas so they have so spending money

So roughly $9200 or so for everything.

I think the thing I am most happy about with my new Disney reservations is having the QS DDP instead of the Regular DDP. I was driving myself crazy trying to plan TS meals each day with dinning reservations and not trying to suck up too much time each day! :rotfl: I wish Disney would let you choose the QS DDP in place of the regular DDP when it is free and attached to a package, or at least freely use TS credits for CS meals. CS just fits my family so much better when we are on vacation.

I missed the window to book FD so opps. If fd comes out for Ocotber we will move our trip forward a week to take advantage of that. But for right now we are happy we got some discount and are booked. We fly so that will probably be another 1000.00.

Our package isn't finalized as yet. We booked the room, but I am still in the middle of what would be the best thing to do. We may downgrade the room and add the deluxe dining plan. Need to give it some thought on what the best plan of action would be. Help?

Poly. Garden View CL ---- Disney Package--

Code: 40 percent off
Cost of room: 2198

Regular Garden View Poly:
40 percent off:

In trying to get this cheaper, I considered breaking up the components by doing room only discount. Then getting tickets from undercover tourist which I thought are supposed to be discounted. They however come out to about 14 dollars more than directly from disney.
There is also the dining plan to consider. How likely is it that a family of four with CL will go through 518 dollars worth of food in 5 days?

Not sure what we are going to end up doing. We've got the CL room booked with the 40 percent discount though, and we are about 4 months out from our vacation. So plenty of time to decide.

March 5-12
Contemporary - MK view
DDP - (the one with 1 table service per day)
6 day park hopper
Used 40% off pin
total is $4,431.19

The 40% off price is about $1,900 cheaper than pricing without the discount, which is not 40% difference. I think some nights, maybe weekends, dont get the 40%? Its like that on all the resorts I've tried.

The 40% off PIN only applies to the Room Rate, not your entire package.

yes, but comparing it either way, room vs. room, or package vs package, should get a 40% difference, as the other package stuff like dining and park hoppers should be the same, right?

Even comparing just room to room, i don't see a 40% difference.
